An Bodhrán in Cork

Still hasn't changed since the 80s, hopefully it never will. Edit, its now 2026 and I called in for a 2 pints , just remember that I first visited this pub in 1985, as I was able too. It has been the centre of my writing my nostalgic visits, even during during my cancer fight. And I was chatting to the lady serving me, then this bearded langer, who is a staff member decided to give his tuppence aggressively and ignorantly and hes 42.....when I asked why the answer was " I added it up" ..... Ill always be grateful its there, but I was one of 5 and a bearded langer thinking he was intelligent. Im from Cork City, alas Ill never go again

Wow! What a pub! Peter and his lovely colleague made me and my daughter feel so welcome. Lots of fun banter and great pints of Murphys! Don’t miss this gem!

My niece and I had a wonderful time. The locals were very kind to us. Enjoyed the banter and felt very comfortable. Juke box was great. Bartender was a great host. God willing It will be a first stop when we go back.

Nice pub with great Thin Lizzy and other rock n roll memorabilia. Pints were great too.

It says live music, but there wasn't any yet when we went for a drink. Uncomfortable seating, small cafe.

Happened to be staying in Cork for a hurling match so stayed overnight..just stumbled by this pub but it was the highlight of our day.Good pints and great vibe..would highly recommend if you are in Cork city
