Angler's Rest in Ballyconnell

Food is nice but little expensive, the restaurant is not very clean but in general it's not so bad 😊 Thx.

The best entrecôte steak I have had in years. Super thick, juicy, garlic butter and cooked to perfection. Restaurant and Bar is really nice

I went for dinner yesterday in the Anglers. The food was phenomenal, and the service was great! I was able to take my dog into the restaurant with me, and she got her own bowl of water and a bowl of cocktail sausages (free of charge!) The portion sizes are so generous, and very affordable as well! There's such a cosy atmosphere in the bar/restaurant as well. No loud music blasting meant I was able to hear my company and have a nice conversation without having to shout! It is by far the best place to eat in Ballyconnell. It was so lovely to have a place where my emotional support dog is welcomed!! 10/10 I'd recommend it to anybody!

Francis McGoldrick , I hope you get your new knee. Had a nice packet of chips and a coke at the bar after sitting in the restaurant around an hour and no one came to take an order of food. I appreciate it was busy. I have never experienced anything like it before and I hope it doesn't happen again. I was going for the most expensive dish that this restaurant is famous for ,but ended up with a packet of chips and a bottle of coke.

Can't comment on rooms as we didn't stay here. My OH and I decided to have a meal on a Friday night. I had Pizza, which was fresh and delicious and OH had the fillet steak, this was enormous, succulent and tasty. Staff are helpful and friendly. Restaurant pleasant with great atmosphere.Definitely going back.

Had a monster ribeye steak... €33 well spent.

We’ve been coming to Anglers Rest for the past 20 years. It’s a ‘must do’ whenever we come on holiday. We were a little concerned reading the recent reviews about how things have changed, and not for the better. But we wanted to see ourselves, and I’m glad we did, as the steaks were as lovely as always. Huge steaks, and a portion of onion rings that are enormous! The service was great and attentive, even though they were busy, it got our food quick and hot. I’m soo glad this place hasn’t changed, long may you guys continue.

Had the carvary, I had chicken and my wife gammon and it was fabulous, good selection of veg, mash potatoes were excellent and good portions. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, and cost was reasonable Will definitely go back again and would recommend.
