Just a beautiful location in an immaculate hotel. Food, welcome, hospitality and service was excellent.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ardagh. The food, both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant, was absolutely fantastic. The hotel itself is charming, with a clear view of the bay, and it’s conveniently located near Dog's Bay Beach and other scenic areas. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Clifden or the surrounding region.

The hotel is in a beautiful location. It is family owned and run which results in a very warm and homely atmosphere. Top class cuisine with local produce. Great attention to detail all round. Lots of amenities in the area. We had a fabulous relaxed time there.

Fantastic destination for weekend away, close to Clifden, on the WWW and easy driving to Ballyconneely, Roundstone, Gurteen and Dog's Bay.

This must be one of the coziest hotel I have ever been to. Their lounge areas make me feel like staying in, reading the book, have a drink while enjoying the view. It is a bit old and there is no elevator, but the staff will offer to carry luggages for you. Room is comfy and clean. Staff is friendly. Would definitely stay here again if I’m back in Connemara.

We're Clifden locals and going to Ardagh for dinner is a event at least a couple of times every year in our calendar. The restaurant is excellent. This year we decided to stay the night so we could properly relax afterwards. Everything met our high expectations: -The staff are extremely friendly. -The hotel is clean, cosy, and welcoming. -Dinner was delicious as always. -Breakfast was equally as good. I can't wait until our next visit.

We stayed at the Ardagh Hotel over the weekend and honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. We traveled as a couple with our dog, and were so impressed by how dog-friendly the hotel is—dogs are welcome in most areas as long as they’re on the lead. The room, while on the smaller side, had everything we needed and was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was included in our stay, and it was a lovely cooked breakfast each morning. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was fantastic—a delicious three-course meal with excellent vegetarian options. The hotel itself is well maintained, with amazing views and a peaceful setting. It’s in a great location too—just under a 10-minute drive from Clifden town. The staff were lovely as well, really friendly and accommodating. Overall, we had such a lovely stay and will definitely be back!

Great to see the Ardagh open for the season, a favourite of ours. I find the lobster hard to resist, but everything on the menu is great!
