For the site alone, this hotel is really very pleasant even if the standards of the rooms are a little outdated. Fortunately the very welcoming and competent staff highlight the service and make up for the small faults. Restaurant of a very good standard. Very frequentable.

We had a delicious meal here. Staff were extremely nice, service was excellent. Did I say the food was delicious? Well worth repeating myself. Feast for the eyes and taste buds! The salad/veg were fresh from the hotels own garden, huge plus ! Tasted amazing.

Gorgeous location, the staff were so welcoming and friendly throughout my whole stay. The food is delicious and the rooms are really clean and comfortable. Definitely my favourite hotel in Ireland. Can’t recommend enough. If you’re looking to do some water-sports while in Connemara this hotel is really handy for that.

Quelle belle expérience dans cet établissement :) tout y est : l’accueil, le cadre, le calme, la qualité de la cuisine, un peu de chauvinisme Sud Africain …mais c’est pardonné :) Merci pour ces moments

04/01/2025: Advise to book ahead!! This place is super busy. Food and atmosphere excellent. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Even during a fire alarm, everything was calm and reassuring.. highly recommend this place for a meal.
19/12/2024: An absolutely wonderful experience. We were there as an "activity group" for our Christmas Dinner together. Everybody had a massive main meal and they all appeared very happy with what turned up. We were shocked by the size of each of our dishes : "are we really going to eat all that!?" Well, we did, and the tastes were out of this world. All ordered and delivered in amazing efficiency. The staff all had earpieces and boom mikes for rapid communications. Staff were very polite and helpful. The bill was kept on a main computer and we found it simple to pay for whatever each of us had separately as we exited. No issues! We all had had a wonderful time!
