Excellent food, lovely service (the owner, when she found out I was vegetarian, gifted me a bottle of vegan oyster sauce for me to try out at home) and beautiful view of the river as well. It was our first time in Arklow and we'll definitely be eating here next time we visit.

The Old House

18/09/2025: I was a stranded traveller from Canada dealing with a ridiculous rental car situation and the staff here went above and beyond to help me out with local contacts, good food and good beer. I visited The Old House twice, nothing but good experiences. Its a very classic pub with good food and great Guinness.
12/07/2025: Just popped in as i was passing through. Really nice staff. Food was good except for pepper sauce. Nice atmosphere

23/07/2025: BANGING spice bag!!! with a bonus treat of a chicken ball (MULTIPLE as we are eating as i type) which is a crazy good move!!!!!! recommending to all my friends!! we are not from here but we would come back just for this, like looking at properties to rent because wow
