We recently had the pleasure of dining at Ballina Manor Hotel, and although we didn’t stay overnight, we were absolutely blown away by the experience and will definitely return to stay in the future. From the moment we arrived, the ease of parking made a great first impression—super convenient and hassle-free!
The restaurant is pure luxury, with an elegant, almost magical ambiance enhanced by the soft glow of candles. You could easily mistake the setting for a beautiful wedding venue. The stunning views of the river added even more charm to the evening.
The food was not only visually stunning but incredibly flavorful. The portions were huge, and to our surprise, the prices were very reasonable for such high-quality dining. I ordered the duck, which was so tender it melted in my mouth. The kids’ menu was also fantastic, with plenty of options for little ones.
The staff were incredibly professional and welcoming, making the experience even better. This place offers a perfect blend of elegance and comfort—it truly feels like a hidden gem. We can’t wait to come back, and next time, we’ll make sure to stay overnight to enjoy more of what Ballina Manor Hotel has to offer!

We recently celebrated a family gathering in the Restaurant in the Ballina Manor Hotel.
I would likely recommend this restaurant for such an occasion.
The dining room itself is beautiful overlooking the River Moy with the Cathedral in the background.
The food was very good as was the service, very attentive and professional.

Stayed 2 nights at the hotel to celebrate my retirement and fish the Ridge Pool. Our room overlooking the river was wonderful. There was even a “Happy Retirement” card in my room. Our dinner was delicious. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. Fishing was just a few steps out the door as was mot of the town’s attractions. The hotel had covered parking which was very nice as parking spaces are few and far between in town. The only downside I would note is the bathtub was very narrow and a bit difficult to stand in while showering. But that certainly wasn’t a deal breaker. I will definitely plan another trip to this Hotel.

Just my first holiday for years.and having been before, was anticipated a return
The results are astonishing, had an large dinner last night and to top it all, had another full Irish Breakfast that I had to walk off. Wanted to visit the cathedral as my mother s family migrated from Mayo to Kildare in the 1950s, always loved Ballina and the hotel staff are excellent. Well located in the center of ballina, only 700 metres to the train station which I am catching

I spent two days here. The rooms are good, the service is missing a smile or two, but no issues. The location was perfect for us and Ballina is gorgeous with trout fishing, big church and even a Dolmen to explore. Very good restaurants too.
