Banditos Galway in Oranmore

The food is good. As a Mexican, I'd say it's more Mexican-inspired or Tex-Mex-style. But I must say this place is much more worthwhile than places like boojum, which are basically just eating for the sake of eating. The prices are affordable, the seasoning is good, especially the beef and pork, which retain their succulence, and the salsas aren't too spicy but are delicious. The guacamole tastes fresh and well-mashed—good, in other words. The portions are generous and won't disappoint a Mexican palate (especially when you know what's available or what's sold as "Mexican" in Ireland). The guy who served me was very serious/inexpressive but friendly. 😅 I would go back. On a personal note, I wish I'd seen more of the vibrant colors found in Mexican restaurants, but that's just my personal opinion.

Disappointed with their portion sizes. For a place that was once known for being generous, their loaded fries only fill half of the container and their bowls have gotten smaller in size … all while keeping their price at least the same(or maybe increasing, I can’t remember) From where this place was 2 years ago to now in 2025 it’s going in the wrong direction and hope it improves because it does bang the odd time.

Decent wraps and bowls. Great service, courteous staff, and very accommodating. Seating may or may not be available. Parking is scarce. Plan well. 👌🏻

Amazing food, much better than Boojum that used to eat, juicy meat, amazing spicy sauce, very big portion for that price and very friendly staff... what you need more? Come back again for sure and Highly Recommend for others.
