Bastible in Dublin

Wonderful, beautifully presented flavors and an excellent selection of wines.

Enjoyable dishes and a welcoming atmosphere made for a nice night out, though it didn't quite hit the fine-dining mark for what you pay. The wine list was fine, but the high-top seating made a multi-course tasting menu a bit of a stretch for comfort. A charming place overall, though I'd probably explore some of the other fantastic options around Portobello next time.

Wonderful meal, lovely room, great service

Absolutely delicious food! The cod in particular was out of this world. Service as you would expect in a restaurant this calibre, was top notch. Definitely would recommend!

This place is really special.. My wife and I enjoyed the taster menu immensely. The fusion of different flavours in each course was incredible. Our waiter Dan was very engaging and attentive adding to the enjoyment of the meal. We would highly recommend Bastible.

Forgot to review after going last winter. Bastible is exceptional in every way, truly one of the best meals I've had in Dublin, or anywhere!

By far one of the best tasting restaurants I tried in Ireland...Creative, also..

Unfortunately our visit to Bastible was very disappointing. For a Michelin starred restaurant we were very insulted to be essentially asked to leave before we were even finished. We arrived to the restaurant on time for our meal and we felt like there were quite long delays between courses, however we really didn’t mind because it was a Friday night and we were in no hurry at all. But when the bill was placed on our table while we were still eating our dessert and finishing our drinks, we were really surprised. It felt like the end of our meal was being rushed due to delays on their side at the start of the sitting. For a meal that costs that much, to be asked to leave after just 2 hours I think is unacceptable. We’ve tried pretty much all the Michelin stared restaurants in Dublin and have had the absolute opposite experience, where you are welcome to stay as long as you like and the dining experience is part of the meal. Based on this, we are very unlikely to go back and we wouldn’t recommend, mainly due to the clearly very poor level of customer service.

A small, cozy restaurant with an open kitchen. We enjoyed a wonderful tasting menu with paired wines. All the courses were excellent, and the accompanying wines harmonized perfectly with each dish. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful.
