Wow! This spot is SO good! I had the falafel wrap with the soup - the soup was amazing. My husband had the red lentil hot meal - also super good. The ladies in here are so kind! Definitely check this place out if you are looking for veggie options!

Incredible food, fast service and lovely atmosphere. Only downside is there are not many places to sit! We had Poached Eggs and Peanut Rayu, and pancakes for breakfast. They do generous sized portions and it’s super tasty! Everything is reasonably priced and great vegetarian and vegan options. Plant based milk is an additional cost.

We stopped at Bastion Kitchen in Athlone on our way from Dublin to Galway. We were completely blown away.. honestly, our favorite meal of the entire trip so far, even after dining at a wonderful Michelin-starred restaurant the night before. We ordered the tomato soup of the day, avocado toast, sandwich of the day, and the salad with sweet potato falafel. Every dish was bursting with flavor and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The drinks were just as impressive: matcha latte, hot chocolate, and almond milk latte.. all beautifully prepared. Warm, welcoming atmosphere and genuinely delicious food. A must-visit if you're in Athlone!
