A very small cafe which is quite busy but service is fast and consistent. Food itself is very good and probably one of the best spots in and around Athlone especially for vegan and vegetarian food. Coffee is nothing special but tolerable, could be a bit warmer. They also sell snacks and other miscellaneous treats made by other local businesses. The owner is friendly, other staff are okay.

Great place for having brunch in Athlone. Especially Michal, the manager of Bastian Kitchen was lovely, charming and very hospitable. I would definitely recommend this place if someone is visiting Athlone

This is not my first time in Bastion Kitchen because the food is absolutely fabulous. The food is so fresh that it feels like they are harvesting it in the kitchen. The flavours are simply delicious. The staff are so pleasant and helpful... Even the owner serves you. I can not find fault with Bastion Kitchen.

30/12/2024: What a great experience! Ordered the poach pear and goat cheese starter, AMAZING! I could have been done there, it was a perfect t blend of savory, sweet and creamy, greens for a bitter touch. I asked for the main recommendation, my server suggested the risotto seafood dish, delicious! Great suggestion and then continued with the Baklava for dessert. It was such a welcome pleasure in a beautiful atmosphere and table by the river.
22/12/2024: To be completely honest with you and I'm sure most people will say the same too bacchus is an absoulute phenomenon of a restraunt , the food is absoulutely mind blowing with a wide range of hot food and also a huge selection of desserts great location too don't even get me started on the service umit , a co owner is the kindest man you will ever meet and was so obliging to me and my family I couldn't possibly recommend bacchus enough great restraunt !

28/12/2024: Well what can I say, someone at the Mughali really knows what they are doing, so nice to find somewhere that is cooking real food and not cutting corners as so many do these days, keep it up chef we’ll be back👍
