Bay Cafe in Dunmore east

My husband ordered chowder, which he loved, and I ordered the "open crab" which was a bowl of fresh crab meat with a side salad and bread. It was delicious. Service was quick and helpful. Staff kept checking to see if we needed anything. It's a small place, so you may have to wait for a table, but I would wait for a chance to have that crab again.

Beautiful cafe with a wide variety on the menu from seafood to ham & cheese toastie. Very friendly staff, an absolute gem overlooking the busy harbour below.

Oh my God! On a cold winters Monday, with the roadside strewn with monkeys carrying brass welders, we stopped in looking for a little warmth in the Bay Cafe in Dunmore east. We both had the Tomato and basil soup and a chicken toasted special along with a latte to wash it down. The soup was the perfect winters cocktail while the sambo was the ideal comfort food to beat away the Monday winters blues. The coffee was to the same exceptional standard and the staff and atmosphere were exactly as you would hope for. All'n'all the best spontaneous stop of our few days away. Dunmore east is beautiful and the scenery majestic, but the Bay Cafe makes it worth coming back.

Trying at least to go visit this place 1 time per week, some of the best food you can have in the area and outskirts of Waterford, definitely some of the best seafood chowders. Always received with kindness from all the staff that work at this café.
