Very very good lunch. We had starter, main, desert, coffee and 2xwine @ lunctime. Total overall cost (4)incl 10% for 125e. The service was prompt and friendly. Two ratger large parties but no delay in service. Very good evening menu good staff and excellent wine choice. Priced to suit most.
Food is really good in general, seafood is very good but their pasta/italian menu is their best option, they have an Italian chef so he never misses with the Italian food. Very highly recommended getting their Italian options.
The atmosphere is cosy, with excellent service that makes you feel at home and tasty food served professionally. Thank you a great service. I recommend this place guys!
The menu offers a LOT of dishes. Perhaps too many choices. Price for mains varies from circa €20 to €40 for fillet steak.
Given the price of the food, my expectations were very high. For starter I had scallops. These were cooked to perfection. For main I had fillet steak. I requested it be rare and it also was cooked to perfection (most Irish establishments tend to serve a rare steak as medium). However the quality of the steak itself was very poor. It was very chewy and surprisingly tasteless. I was completely disappointed in this dish. It came with mash, quarter of a parsnip and quarter of a carrot. Certainly not worth the price. Someone with me had spaghetti carbonara and complained to me that it didn't taste very nice. I tried it and agreed that it eas the most bland version I have tasted.
Someone else had monkfish and this was apparently lovely.
The service was fine although we didn't appreciate how pushy they were with trying to get us to buy another bottle of wine after we had finished dessert. When we said no they suggested we buy one to take away. At €34 for what I would describe as a supermarket cabernet sauvignon this was too pushy for my liking. Finally, beware that a 10% fee will be added to groups of over 6. This was not mentioned to us however it is written on the menu. Sadly we were not aware of this when we gave them a tip.
