Black Bull Inn in Drogheda

First time having dinner at the Black Bull and it did not disappoint. We ordered the prawns for starters and the slow cooked beef featherblade for our mains. The beef was so tender and full of flavour, it was delicious. Our meals came out in good time and the staff were very attentive. A table beside the fire was a bonus! Would highly recommend!

Liked the food, atmosphere and service. Would give it 4,5* if possible, but not as good to be a 5 stars hero.

We have visited the Black Bull Inn many times, and it has quickly become one of our favorite dining spots. The food is consistently incredible, with each dish bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The Christmas menu is particularly impressive, offering a festive twist on their already fantastic offerings—it’s a must-try for anyone looking to celebrate the season with great food. The staff are always kind, respectful, and attentive, making us feel welcome every single time. We strongly recommend the Black Bull Inn and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Celebrated my birthday here whilst visiting the area. The food was fantastic, as were the staff. Highly recommend a visit and the chicken wings with rum & coke sauce are a must!

We were in the Black Bull Drogheda on Thursday evening after a long day getting ready for the brother in laws wedding we phoned in advance and they says they would accommodate our dinner booking four of us arrived the place was buzzing we did hear the offers available but just decided to go for the mains, two of the lads had the chicken thigh burger one of the lads had fish and chips and I had the beef burger the portions very generous and piping hot when we got them even the plates very warm a nice touch we had a very pleasant waitress look after us that had a bit of craic with us and enhanced the experience I overheard a group give the staff a bad time or feedback and it was uncalled for as a little patience goes a long way, after the meal we headed to the bar for 3 or 4 pints and then back to the boyne valley for the wedding the next day, thank you very much for the hospitality 4 mains along with extra pepper sauces and Garlic sauce 4 rockshore and 2 Guinness and 2 sparkling water €126 euro very reasonable and very enjoyable will definitely be back 15/08/24

The inn was very busy the night we went, there was a large screen with the Euros, at least 2 birthday parties, a christening party and loads of groups like ours just eating. The staff were exceptionally busy but very friendly and the food was excellent. How they managed to get it to our table, still hot, I don’t know but they did. Highly recommend if you’re not looking for a quiet table for 2!
