Brasserie in Waterford

We really enjoyed it. The view was spectacular, the staff were very friendly, and the food was amazing.

1837 Bar & Brasserie was the highlight of our visit to the Guinness Storehouse — honestly, even better than the Storehouse itself. After the sensory overload of the exhibits, this was the perfect place to pause, refocus, and truly enjoy the experience. The atmosphere was calm, refined, and welcoming, and the view was absolutely stunning. Our host, Caitlin, made the experience unforgettable be being incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely accommodating. Service was fast, attentive, and thoughtful without ever feeling rushed. Quite honestly, this was the best customer service experience I’ve had in my life — full stop. At Caitlin’s recommendation, my husband and I ordered the stew, and it did not disappoint. It was hands-down the best stew we’ve ever had. I’ve even tried recreating it back home in Canada — it was good, but it will never be that good. And the chocolate Guinness mousse? Absolutely unreal. Without exaggeration, it was the most delicious thing I’ve ever eaten. If you’re visiting the Guinness Storehouse, do not skip 1837 Bar & Brasserie. It elevated our entire visit and turned it into something truly special. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

Really enjoyed our time here dining with a view of the city. If you want to escape the crowd during the Guiness experience, 1837 is definitely the place to go. We were also greeted by some seagulls curiously looking at us dine!

A bit pricey, not the best value for money. Tourist hotspot for Guinness fans.

People generally enjoying themselves. Service was poor at bar including manager who couldn’t be bothered. Food was very late and cold. Many empty tables despite the excuse being “very busy”. About average for a corporate tourist trap.

In connection with our visit to Guinness Storehouse, we decided to have our lunch here. It did not disappoint 😁 the food was just delicious and tasty 😁 recommend to visit here for some food. Of course we had a Guinness beer to go along our food 🍺👍

A very good experience! We ate very well and were served by a very pleasant man with a smile. His cheerful attitude contributed to our having a very enjoyable meal.

A visit to the Guinness Storehouse is a fitting conclusion to discovering and appreciating Guinness cuisine, first conceived in 1837. It all says it all. And the cuisine is delicious. A must-try.

Very helpful staff, the food was great, beer as great as can be expected in the Guinness brewery ;)
