The scones were absolutely delicious and quite large! We enjoyed on the train to Dublin. They offered a buy 3 get the 4th free deal. Perfect for our group ❤️

The kind, blonde lady recommended the Bread and Butter Pudding and it was so fresh and quite a treat! I loved the tartness of the cherry balanced with the custard, and a pleasant surprise of chocolate bits came through. If you're looking for fresh and high quality baked goods then come to Birdie Murphy's!

The best scones I've ever eaten. Nice to sit outside, locals seem to know her. The staff are friendly and the coffee is good. They could probably get slightly more comfy seats for outside, but I am just nitpicking.

01/01/2026: I was so sad to see that the menu was changed and my favorite 2 pastas and ravioli are gone, they were the best I've ever tasted. Today I had to change my order for the ducks pasta it wasn't bad but it didn't have the taste of the last times i came. Such a shame and i am really sad this was my favorite restaurant in galway please bring the old menu back!
01/11/2025: Wow, so glad we visited this restaurant, as it was delightful! We had planned on going to Milanos but as it was booked out, I found out this place was good for gluten free food, so I chanced it. I'm so glad we did, as it had so much more character than a chain restaurant. Both regular food and gluten free food was really good. The coeliacs had margherita and buffalini pizzas and ate every last bite, another had the mushroom pasta which was large and delicious. The regular folk had diavola pizza and a sausage pasta, again both delicious. For desserts we had a double chocolate mousse (SOOO good) and a gluten free chocolate cake which wasn't on the menu. The service here was great. I was delighted to have an actual Italian person serve me in an Italian restaurant! If I lived in Galway, I would be here regularly. Enjoy!
