Buffalo Boy in Carrick-on-shannon

Absolutely delicious! The ribs were so tender they practically fell off the bone just by looking at them. My colleague ordered the smooth-fleshed seafood straight from the fryer. It was also outstanding. The ambiance is reminiscent of a grandmother's living room in the 1950s. Very stylish and fitting, in my opinion. The service was also very competent and able to answer any questions about the restaurant's cuisine. Anyone who eats here is making the right choice. You should know. First time dining here : Meat platter for two expected more meat for the cost very little meat on the ribs wasnt filling enough for 2 people . Pasta dishes needed more flavor and more tomatoes n veg within the dish. The kids bolognese was delicious. The staff are wonderful the place is cool. Bit on the expensive side considering the size of portions we felt. Glass of wine €8.50 across the road was €6.50 big jump of price difference.

It’s a nice place! The food is good. The staff is nice, I was only sad that they didn't tell us there's a garden; after my friend told me later that the garden is beautiful. It was my first time.

Had a quick meal after a long train ride from Dublin. Wanted something not too heavy so I had a couple of starters. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and in Carrick you can seems nice mix of generations enjoying the restaurant. I had the cigar starter a thin wrapped fried pastry with shredded beef complimented with a nice savoury sauce and small bed of carrots and, onions with a bit of vinegar for contrast. Nicely done, beef couple have been a little more smoky (based on the lovely smokey smells in the restaurant. Also had their small nachos - they were good - the chili was tasty but not their fault but the is one of those dishes that is messy - melted cheese, guacamole, sour cream, chili with beans (very controversial for this Texan) with a bed of crunch nachos chips on the bottom - overall very tasty just messy as they can be. The steaks were flying all around me with some great aromas of smoke and beef ! The burgers also looked great. Next time I will come and dig into the steaks. I would recommend trying them out.

Great steaks, t-bones are five star, just a great Resturant ..! avoid the deserts..

The food was decent, its a novel restaurant with the American style. The only major downside was I had intended to order a good steak, when we arrived on a Saturday evening, they advised they had no Waigu, and no Tomahawk which given they're the most expensive steaks was shocking they wouldnt have a steady supply, was ultimately forced to spend 40euro on a standard steak I could have made at home

We had a wonderful meal at Buffalo Boy as usual . Staff are so friendly and service great . Verity of menu is a joy and although it’s not cheap is well worth the price . Thankyou and please keep going

Had the most amazing dinner with my boys tonight. T-bone-cooked to perfection. Was great to watch chefs cooking for us. Really enjoyed food, atmosphere and smooth service. Would highly recommend for steak lovers and anyone else who likes decent food. Will be back-best place I eat so far. Thank you
