23/06/2025: Lovely staff but very poor food on a Monday.

19/06/2025: We had avocado toast and a scone for breakfast both delicious and they have great coffee. Everyone was so friendly.

02/06/2025: This was not our first visit. The meat used to be tastier, apparently this time we were less lucky. The dessert was gorgeous, the bar was also top notch. We were a little disappointed when after we finished eating, we were asked to move to the bar counter, although our table remained free all this time. But this did not spoil the overall atmosphere and overall we left satisfied.

01/06/2025: Had a meal this evening here and ordered the signature burger it was very bland and tasteless and came with a tiny portion of chips and a dash of salad on the side for the price it was a real let down.. service was decent staff are nice and pleasant

05/06/2025: Wonderful little Italian restaurant in Carrick-on-Shannon. Beautiful food, wine and great service. Very good value for money too.

26/05/2025: Authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Carrick-on-Shannon. As soon as you walk in, you smell the love poured into the food. Excellent selection of food and wines. Everything we ordered was bursting with flavor. This place is popular, suggest a reservation. We walked in on a Sunday night and the restaurant was FULL… we were seated after a short 10-min wait.

18/06/2025: Probably the best fish and chips I've had in many years! Handmade cooked chips and fish that melted in your mouth...Amazing

15/06/2025: We were five of us and had all lovely meals. The staff were very friendly. A very pleasant atmosphere. In total it was a great experience.

13/06/2025: I have visited numerous times and the Steak Sandwich never disappoints. I might go as far as saying it’s the best steak sandwich in Ireland (and I order one everywhere I go if it’s on the menu). Perfectly cooked to your liking lovely size prime sirloin steak, with mushrooms & onions on a crispy half panini style bread, and chips and nice pepper sauce. Even the salad wasn’t an afterthought, lovely dressing with coleslaw and an onion rings to top it off. We also stayed a night in the B&B Previously, the room is lovely and clean, with the full Irish breakfast in the bar/restaurant the next morning. All good. My husband had a Guinness and he wanted me to try it because it was such a nice pint of Guinness! Everything simply perfect. Five stars.

A special shoutout to Enda, a staff member who went above and beyond when I accidentally left my wallet behind. He not only found it but took the time to reach out to me personally and arranged to have it posted back – a rare act of kindness that speaks volumes about the people who work here. I can’t recommend McHugh's enough.Cheers to Enda and the whole team!

22/06/2025: Amazing Italian restaurant. Took my three children here and I couldn’t be more impressed with the friendly service, the options for children and the overall flexibility. The food for adults was good too. Had three courses and enjoyed them all. Will be back in the future.

11/06/2025: Very generous rustic pizzas with capers, cherry tomatoes, arugula, and Parmesan. No need for dessert. If you don't finish it, ask for a takeout box.

12/05/2025: I love this coffee shop, I can't pass without getting a coffee and have been known to drive from sligo to get a coffee, too, lol. I just we had one in Sligo. Always friendly service. Loads of indoor and outdoor seating. In the summer, they even have a coffee cart open outside to save you queuing inside if you're not getting food. Loads of parking around too.

02/06/2025: Busy here, too nousy for me as I am sensitive to noise but was a very popular choice given how busy it was :-) service was excellent, did not get food was meeting friends.

01/05/2025: We stayed for 1 night and would highly recommend visiting the Brandywell if you are in the area. The rooms were spacious and so clean, breakfast was phenomenal & all staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable

02/06/2025: Fabulous restaurant, very attentive and well trained staff, delicious food. I had the Koftas main which were delicious but i was disappointed with the portion size for the price, as I was still starved after eating it. Nonetheless that was just my experience and the people accompanying me, their portions were generous. Would return.

11/05/2025: We had a brilliant group meal recently. The service was amazing, especially our main server Edel who was so patient and accommodating with the whole group. The food was incredible and everyone in the group enjoyed their meal.

06/05/2025: Nice quite spot just a short walk away from the often very lively main street. The food was delicious and very reasonable priced. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They told us as everything was freshly prepared it might take a little longer but actually it didn't (seem) to take that long at all. We definitely come back again when we are in Carrick
