There was a screaming child making everyone uncomfortable. Staff should have stepped in and asked for him to be taken out for a bit while calming down.
31/05/2026: We stayed here for cowboys and hero’s in leitrim and we will be back! A massive thank you to Joe and Gerry who looked after us during our stay, such a lovely welcoming atmosphere, food was gorgeous rooms were lovely and clean. Highly recommend ☺️

18/02/2026: Service and food is great, I got the steak sandwich and it was unreal. I gave complements to the chef and he came out the kitchen and starting breakdancing at our table, 10/10 would recommend.

09/06/2026: Yep...it's 200 years old, and it shows its age. The staff are friendly and helpful, but this property is in need of significant renovations. My travel buddy suggested a wrecking ball and rebuild. It's beyond a good scrub, a lick of paint, and new mattresses.
While I really appreciated the dry humour of the front desk staff, it was equally matched with the dryness of the scones served for breakfast.
06/06/2026: Central hotel with a convenient car park st the rear.
Very helpful and kind staff. Food in restaurant was tasty and waiting staff were great.

11/04/2026: We came in for food over the bank holiday weekend which was pretty good. Our waitress was amazing, I think her name was Lilly, she was the only person who was professional and really excellent. Looked like there was lots of staff but only one person working. I am not sure who the manager was but they need to take a look at how they manage that bar. You cant depend on 1 person, with a bar full of people. This one waitress was doing everything at every table, madness.

15/12/2025: Flynns is a very nice local pub in Carrick-On-Shannon. We have been there a few times. Recently we watched a rugby test there, SA vs Ireland. The place was full and the atmosphere was grand!
