Riverbank Restaurant
16/02/2025: An unpleasant visit for Sunday lunch. A rude staff member and poor customer service totally spoiled our lunch.
We were given a table by the toilet access and the door to the kitchen. Probably the worst one in the place. There were other nicer tables, but our request to move to a larger one was refused so we had to settle for a different small one. We should have left immediately.
15 mins later, another staff member allowed a couple to sit at the table we had been refused.
What a horrible attitude from the first waitress. She's in the wrong job.
Average food and surroundings.
We won't be back.

10/02/2025: 5 star hospitality and service. Everything perfect, a traditional Irish pub serving top class food. Warm and friendly atmosphere with that personal touch. Thank you. Will be back for more, especially for those creamy pints of Guinness. Keep up the good work.
09/11/2024: Stopped for a meal on the way home. It was our first visit and we will become regulars for sure.
Very warm and welcoming pub with homely food, great atmosphere. Picked the special of the day, which was grilled pork steak and it was absolutely delicious.
Guinness the best in Leitrim so far. Staff very accommodating and attentive.
Great spot!

31/12/2024: I was fortunate to find this hidden Gem in Leitrim, It was very impressive to be given the option of smaller and larger plates, a great selection. I sampled the Baba Ghanoush and the Venison, much to my liking.
The service was second to non as with the presentation. Unfortunately I didn’t stay in the rooms this time, will leave that for next time. The wine choice was super. Look forward to coming back soon.

25/02/2025: Went here on a stag few years back I booked a table for us all.. I walked ahead of the group walked straight in but the group was stopped because 1 of the lads was a traveller n said bar was full even tho it wasn’t wouldn’t recommend at all

13/11/2024: Love this bar. It is a very well run bar where the owner will not accept any underage drinkers or any one who has clearly had too much to drink. All in all this is what makes your drinking time there a very enjoyable experience. 10/10 to the bar staff for making it a comfortable and pleasant place to go.

14/02/2025: Great place for a getaway with friends and family, amazing drinks and food, and not too expensive as well.
10/12/2024: With Carrick having been spared the county wide power cuts, we ventured into Murtagh’s to catch some European rugby…it was a great decision. While we had to hop around the bar to avoid the a few stag groups, we still managed to find a few less hectic corners to watch the games. The staff were mindful & helpful at all times. We even bagged a great spot to watch the Connacht game. Particular shout out to Agris for his professionalism & good nature…and lastly to the young bloke who supplied the guitar tunes from 8-10pm…exceptionally talented.

birthday dinner and without being asked staff dimmed the lights and happy Birthday came on the speakers, made our little celebration special, thank you it meant alot to us 😊

12/03/2025: Historic and interesting town centre hotel with free parking and car Charging. Great service, breakfast and friendly informal service.
09/03/2025: Stayed two nights in one of the oldest hotels in the country, I reckon. The place has a real charm to it, with loads of old photos on the walls showing its history from way back. Right in the heart of the town, so you couldn’t ask for a better spot. The hotel itself is lovely, and there’s a big car park just 50m away, handy as anything. Well worth a stay!
