Cox's Steakhouse in Drumod

Had a beautiful meal here with a few drinks, staff were all so friendly, helpful & service was 1st class. Close to the harbour too.

1 star for food because we did not get anything we booked a table for 730 we where left alone and had to ask for drinks and ask for the menu then the drinks where left on the bar I had to get up and ask if they where our drinks then it was 8 o'clock and still nobody came to us we went to pay for the drinks and told the owner what had happened and he says sorry and gave the drinks for free that was very good it's a pity we had a bad experience as we where told it was the best place to go would it stop me going back again maybe not so next time we call in on the boat we will try and hopefully have a good experience there eather way these tings happen we will just make sure the tall lad doesn't serve us

A restaurant with a classic pub atmosphere. The service was very friendly, and the menu offered more than the usual four standard dishes; vegetarians were also well catered for. The mineral water was included in the price, just like tap water, and wasn't charged to us.

Excellent service from all staff and owner, they were all nice polite and very helpful. The food was delicious to the last mouthful and the portions very generous. A pub that is a gastronomical delight.

Great pup and restaurant. The only thing that stopped me on giving 5 stars is that the Steak sandwich was a bit well done and I have ordered medium and the when you order a stake sandwich you always get a cibatta cut in half. I only got the bottom of the ciabatta... Staff is nice and atmosphere was great.

Excellent food but prices have increased substantially from the last time I was there.. a lot more expensive than other food establishments of similar fare and quality.

Cox’s pub was by far the best steakhouse on the river. We travelled through 18 loughs from Lough Erne through to Shannon so can happily give them this award! Best tip is to go for the Signature Steak sandwich- great value, but if you’re looking for a meat feast be sure to try the lamb cutlets! Amazing! For salad lovers recommend the superfood salad! 👌

Recently dined at Cox's and the 12oz sirlion was 1 of the best steaks I've ever eaten. Ordered medium/ rare and was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

We recently held our Wedding Day 2 celebrations at Cox’s Steakhouse in Dromod, and I cannot recommend this fine establishment highly enough. Adrian, the proprietor, was fantastic in the lead up and planning and from the moment we arrived, it was clear that Adrian and his team had everything under control. Catering for over 100 guests is no small task, but it was handled effortlessly and professionally. The food was of exceptional quality throughout the day. All food options were beautifully prepared, generously portioned, and of outstanding quality. So many of our guests commented on how delicious the meal was, and the service was smooth and efficient despite the large numbers. The bar service was equally impressive. A very well stocked bar serving perfectly poured pints of Guinness and Beamish on draught, which went down a treat with our guests. The atmosphere throughout the evening was electric. With a fantastic trad band set up in the bar area, the place came alive with music, laughter, and mighty craic, creating exactly the kind of celebration we had hoped for. Cox’s itself is a wonderfully run establishment. The traditional ornate fit-out gives it an authentic Irish pub character that is becoming increasingly rare to find. The warm surroundings, combined with the friendly service and lively atmosphere, created the perfect setting for our family and friends to relax, celebrate, and enjoy themselves. A huge thank you to Adrian and his team at Cox’s for helping make our Wedding Day 2 such a memorable occasion. If you’re looking for a venue with exceptional food, great drinks, outstanding hospitality, and a genuine traditional atmosphere, you’ll not beat Cox’s! Our guests came from far and wide got the true Irish experience! We already look forward to returning on our next visit to the area!
