17/06/2025: Stayed in this hotel, for a night, my partner s birthday, was fantastic, staff lovely so professional, had a great warm welcome, food was lovely and the breakfast was delicious, our room was amazing the View took our breath away,thanks to all especially the receptionist, ,se you all soon ,

04/07/2025: Went for a meal big plate barley any food on plate if you have lots of money to throw away we'll your laughing i have been to better places with good food and plenty of it and not costs as much as this place the bit of food that was on the big plate was very tasty but not enough what a shame

18/05/2025: Murtaghs offered our group of 20 an immersive experience called The Cube. Please don’t be lured into this. It was a joke. Few handmade wooden boxes and tennis balls. Extracted €30 from us for the pleasure. Young lad running it was great and did everything he could with what he was given.

22/04/2025: Lively little country pub which is well decorated. Unfortunately when we visited there were 5 young guys sitting at the bar and their language was disgrace. There were women in the bar and a little 5 year old and they should not have been treated to such foul language in almost every sentence. Unfortunately the guy behind the bar must have felt it was acceptable as not once did he ask them to tone it down or refuse to serve them any more drink. The management here really need to step up their game and lay down a few ground rules. Would I return...... No

22/04/2025: Myself & my good friend Malachy Costello met here on Saturday 19th April 2025.
The coffee as always was Exceptional & Expertly Made by Joanna & the cakes were delicious.
This is always my first port of call for a coffee when I am in Carrick-On-Shannon.
Joanna who has worked there for 9yrs provides an Exceptional Service & creates a Unique Atmosphere.

01/07/2025: Food was quite nice here. I had the chicken burger with the cheesy and garlic chips which were lovely. Food came quickly and the staff were really friendly, especially the girl who took my order. Only negative is the toilets - the soap dispenser was hanging off the wall which made it difficult to get any soap so that needs fixed. Otherwise this was a lovely place and I’d recommend it. They also do buns and cakes, teas, coffees etc if you’re wanting something a little less filling.

23/04/2025: Stopped in here for a few drinks with family whilst in the area. The barmaid was very friendly and attentive. The pub has a great outdoor area with plenty of seating and another bar at the back of the area.
Definitely worth a visit if with a group of friends.

12/06/2025: Super delicious and plentiful food. We've rarely had such good fish and chips. It was so good that we went there two days in a row (and ordered the same thing both times 😂). But the other dishes at the neighboring tables also looked very good. Fair value for money, friendly staff. Outlets for charging phones... everything perfect 👍🏻

12/06/2025: Came for a latte and a pastry, I recommend it. The service is fast and friendly. I had a raspberry and white chocolate scone, which was delicious. As a bonus, they sell small items (decor, postcards, souvenirs, etc.).
The view is very nice, and you're right next to the waterfall.
Many reviews have mentioned the wait, but honestly, it's a very touristy place. I think those complaining have never worked in customer service or catering in their lives, so be patient!
02/06/2025: Busy place but a good selection of desserts and cakes. I had a Moroccan mint tea. Refreshing after the walk to the waterfall.
