The best restaurants in Carrick-on-shannon

13/09/2026: I always make sure to visit this excellent restaurant when I am in town. Top class food and service.

11/09/2026: The staff here are so friendly and super helpful! They took the time to explain all the gluten-free options, which made dining here such a great experience. And I highly recommend the chicken wings. They were excellent!! The best wings ive ever had.

22/09/2026: Highly recommend this restaurant. We had a great experience as a family.

20/09/2026: Just had a meal here with my family for our son's birthday. The food was so good! Great service! I had to reschedule 3 times and they still accommodated us. Everyone was happy with their meal. I will definitely go again and I highly recommend it! 5/5!!

04/09/2026: Sensational!!!! I haven't had such good Italian food in a long time. Absolutely recommended!!!😋☺️😋

01/09/2026: Always seems to be very busy even early in the week…food is always exceptionally good and prices are reasonable. Only downside is the young lady who clearly doesn’t value customers…on our first visit she turned us away because we hasn’t made a booking despite the fact that there were lots of empty tables and the next visit she had tried to us the same approach but lucky for us we had made a reservation…

13/09/2026: The best place for pizza, burgers or chips in the town

12/09/2026: Deadly burger and kebab, fantastic service

13/09/2026: Excellent food with great service in nice surroundings.

25/08/2026: Amazing food, great services, stunning galleries!

22/09/2026: Pizza dough recipe needs a little revision IMHO but overall great food (Caesar salad was especially wonderful). Excellent service (kindest people ever). Loved the decoration.

12/08/2026: A nice variation to the standard six meals available everywhere else. Pizza and Pasta are highly recommended.

11/10/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely delicious food and a fantastic experience! We had a wonderful meal at Buffalo Boy! Our party enjoyed a selection of steaks, burgers, ribs and mac and cheese, and everything was absolutely delicious. The food was full of flavour, and the desserts were the perfect way to finish off a fantastic meal! We all loved it and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We would definitely recommend Buffalo Boy and can’t wait to return!

28/09/2026: Chicken wings and beef cigars for starters. Cant find a fault. Steak and house burger for mains. Again too class. Desserts and coffee were 100%

29/07/2026: Nice coffee. Tasty cakes and friendly service from the staff... This coffee shop has the best views in the town from the upstairs regardless of the time of year. In the summertime, they have seats on the street. Overall, it's worth a visit.

25/07/2026: I had an exceptional experience at Coffey's Pastry Case! Everything felt really good, from the delicious food to the awesome service and atmosphere. Highly recommended

18/09/2026: I have never come across such perfection. Every ingredient was top class quality. Proper pot of tea, great service and a real local atmosphere both inside and outside. Hats off to the friendly staff too which made all the difference. Best quality breakfast I have ever had. Black pudding out of this world too.

10/09/2026: The best ❤️🍰❤️ I ever eat in my life!!! Fair place for fair price!!!

29/07/2026: Some of the best trad ceoil I've ever heard. The locals and the people from the boats are friendly. Great pints at reasonable prices. Overall, the best pub in the town 😄

24/06/2026: The best pints Guinness in town. Great Atmosphere and brillant staff and owner.

29/09/2026: Great old fashion pub. Full of interesting people. A must visit.

11/09/2026: Told me there was a wedding on booked out see video I took

03/08/2026: What a mad house on a bank holiday weekend. Great band playing on way in. But with the boom boom coming from the disco at the rear they were impossible to hear. Lots of very drunk people about at 8 in the evening. Would not like to be here at 11pm really a place for the stags hens and young people.

22/06/2026: i did not eat there☺️very nice place

26/09/2026: This was so good! Today I tried the Rice Bowl which was bursting with flavour! Huge Portion! Full of colour and texture -absolutely delicious! 😃 I was sad I couldn't get the chickpea bowl but breakfast had finished so that's understandable! The Rice Bowl definitely made up for it🍜

22/09/2026: Beautiful venue - spacious, funky, clean and comfortable, ideal for long breakfast and chat with old friend. Free parking which is handy. Great service - courteous and efficient. Food was nice but room for improvement - especially the eggs royale. Eggs were perfectly poached, large portion of smoke trout (nearly too much). Another slice of bread and some greenery/salad will elevate this dish. Cappuccino also needs improvement - too foamy, and taste more like milky coffee with lots of foam topping. Will return to try the lunch.

07/09/2026: Awesome place to go with Family. Loved it

04/09/2026: It's been done up very tastefully. I love the reclining chairs and the staff is so helpful.
