Cake Me Away Anna Kaczmarek
Carrick-on-shannon
12/10/2026: 5,40 for a latte that was mostly foam and too sweet, the young male manning the till clearly doesn’t know how to make coffee and shouldn’t be allowed to do so without appropriate training, your coffee is too expensive for that.Won’t be returning
10/10/2026: A good selection of pastries and cakes if a bit lacking in terms of lunch options. Also there is additional seating out the back

Phoenix Court
Carrick-on-shannon
18/09/2026: I like this place for the excellent service, price and true Asian food with huge menu options.
05/09/2026: ⭐️
Absolutely awful experience from start to finish. The service was unbelievably slow, and the staff seemed completely uninterested in actually helping or acknowledging customers. We were left waiting around for ages, had to chase staff for basic things, and felt like we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers.
The food was nothing special either, especially considering the prices. What should have been an enjoyable meal was completely ruined by the poor service and lack of attention.
Really disappointing and definitely not somewhere I would recommend. There are plenty of restaurants where you can spend your money and actually feel valued as a customer.

Everyday
Carrick-on-shannon
27/07/2026: The young Girl at desk that wears all the clothes needs to learn customer skills.i have gone to this Chinese a few times, she always appears rude and never appears happy.i gave her the benefit of the doubt a few times, Jenny and the older girl are great. This week, I ordered Chicken and mushroom with black bean sauce and this particular girl at desk then repeated order to me before i paid, after a few mins she gave me a bag which contained sweet and sour chicken,i told her I had not asked for this to which she rudely said yes u did infront of 2 customers!! I have since not returned after i saw through the glass panel on this evening, that the cooks don't wear gloves, handles chicken with their hands and also one of them sit on their phone on the preparation area when its not that busy.
04/05/2026: Really please with the gluten free options here

Gings Bar
Carrick-on-shannon
18/09/2026: Delighted that Ging's is back after 4 years. Theyve done beautiful job of restoring it with the gorgeous original stonework on the outside and inside. Loads of screens in youre into your soccer and fabulous outside covered section. As well as what was already surely one of the best beer gardens in Ireland along the broad majestic Shannon! And great staff too! Welcome back 🙏
18/09/2026: Really pleased to see Gings has re opened.
Fabulous rebuild, and still one of the best views from a pub in Ireland.
If next summer is as good as 2026 then the other pubs in Carrick are in big trouble.
