02/06/2026: I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was a genuinely awful experience from start to finish.
I called ahead to ask about a dish from their Galway branch and was met with a very uninterested tone, told bluntly to “just check the menu” with no effort to help or suggest anything.
When we arrived, the experience did not improve at all. The restaurant felt poorly maintained and unclean. The table setup included dirty plates, one with what looked like old food residue and a tissue stuck to it, and several chipped plates which immediately raised concerns.
Service was cold and disengaged throughout. We were asked to move to a new table setup when other guests arrived , which felt unprofessional and uncomfortable.
The washroom condition was also concerning, with the handwash dispenser filled with water instead of soap.
Overall there were far too many red flags in terms of hygiene, service, and general care. We left before eating because it simply did not feel safe or acceptable. Easily one of the worst dining experiences I have had.
22/05/2026: Delicious food. Will definitely be back. Our waiter was very attentive and Jennifer our waitress was amazing!

25/04/2026: Had a great weekend with Jim and all the staff in Glancys. We were a large stag group and Jim couldn't have been more accommodating throughout the weekend. From welcoming us to providing the lifts. Jim was professional and conscious about everyone's safety and whereabouts. Booking was very straightforward, accomodation was perfect and we had good craic in the pub all weekend. Location is ideal and we were able to walk everywhere. Thanks to Jim and all the staff. Highly recommended.

13/11/2025: Decided to try this place, when it first opened didn't look to promising as there was a bluebottle stuck on one of their cakes so I passed that day.
But I santed to try the dubai brownie which was 6.50 as a treat 😳. Looked great which is why I bought but tasted just okay, topping was how u would imagine but the brownie itself was dry and bland if it had been a bit more fudgier n rich in chocolate flavour could have been a 10/10. Service was to be desired, standing a long time when it really wasn't busy and just got dumped my change without too much friendliness. Came in a good to go box tho. Regardless there selection of cakes and sweet things n sandwiches is impressive of a tad expensive and would like to sit in at some point as the place looks good for a stop off.
Coffee is really good, matcha not so much. Would recommend the éclairs on a second visit since.
12/11/2025: A wonderful selection of delicious treats and drinks! All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (I had a hard time making up my mind - so many great choices)!

20/02/2026: Really disappointed, order from here quite often. Ordered for delivery. Got confirmation at 8:10pm for food to be here for 8:55pm. Had to message at 9:15pm food had still not arrived. Promised delivery for 9:30pm. Food did not arrive until 9:45pm. Restaurant didn’t even apologise when we called asking where food was. When we got the food. Fish was cold and was 70% batter and grease. Chips were rubbery and cold too.
26/01/2026: My chicken was OK, the chips were not the best and my friends dinner was not great, he had a kebab tray and chips which wasn't the best. The service needs a bit of tuning too. The good thing is that it opens til very late.

16/11/2025: Ordered general tso’s and when I asked if I could order a side order of rice the woman taking my order responded “no”. I asked if the dish already comes with rice and she said yes. It wasn’t until I got home that I found no rice with my dish… 🙄

12/12/2025: Like all places in Carrick starts off well, then quality just goes down hill so quickly. Bought 3 spice bag yesterday, all 3 had stale tasting chicken and chips that tasted like the day before leftover thrown back in the oil and on top of that all 3 bag were so bland had no taste no flavor no seasoning no veg just stale old breaded chicken and chips. DISAPPOINTING. NEVER AGAIN

30/04/2026: Placed an order and then received a phone call saying they had no gas, so they couldn’t cook the food. We were told to cancel the order through Just Eat, but we couldn’t because the restaurant had already marked it as ready for collection. When we called back to explain this, the girl who answered asked us to hold for a moment and, clearly thinking we couldn’t hear her, said: ‘What is it that he doesn’t f****** understand?’
We understood perfectly — every issue was caused by the restaurant. While problems can happen, speaking about paying customers like that is completely unacceptable.
We were then told to come back in for a cash refund. When confronted about her comment, instead of apologising, she claimed it “wasn’t about the guy on the phone.”
What makes this worse is that we’ve been ordering from here for years, and over the last year there have been multiple issues, including incorrect orders — one involving allergies. When we called previously about an allergy-related mistake, we were told nobody in the kitchen could speak English. That is incredibly dangerous when dealing with food allergies.
After years of being customers, the complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic respect shown tonight has ensured we will never return.
28/04/2026: We got a beef thai green and a beef black bean. The thai green tasted nothing like a thai green curry it was unusually sweet the noodles along with it seemed to be microwaved. The black bean just tasted like a weird soy sauce. And to top it off we both were sick after trying it. Stay well clear of this place it's quite easily one of the worst meals I've ever had!
