13/11/2025: Decided to try this place, when it first opened didn't look to promising as there was a bluebottle stuck on one of their cakes so I passed that day.
But I santed to try the dubai brownie which was 6.50 as a treat 😳. Looked great which is why I bought but tasted just okay, topping was how u would imagine but the brownie itself was dry and bland if it had been a bit more fudgier n rich in chocolate flavour could have been a 10/10. Service was to be desired, standing a long time when it really wasn't busy and just got dumped my change without too much friendliness. Came in a good to go box tho. Regardless there selection of cakes and sweet things n sandwiches is impressive of a tad expensive and would like to sit in at some point as the place looks good for a stop off.
Coffee is really good, matcha not so much. Would recommend the éclairs on a second visit since.
12/11/2025: A wonderful selection of delicious treats and drinks! All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (I had a hard time making up my mind - so many great choices)!

20/02/2026: Really disappointed, order from here quite often. Ordered for delivery. Got confirmation at 8:10pm for food to be here for 8:55pm. Had to message at 9:15pm food had still not arrived. Promised delivery for 9:30pm. Food did not arrive until 9:45pm. Restaurant didn’t even apologise when we called asking where food was. When we got the food. Fish was cold and was 70% batter and grease. Chips were rubbery and cold too.
26/01/2026: My chicken was OK, the chips were not the best and my friends dinner was not great, he had a kebab tray and chips which wasn't the best. The service needs a bit of tuning too. The good thing is that it opens til very late.

07/02/2026: I’ve been to this establishment a few times and for the few times I’ve been there it hasn’t got better. The security guard is always trying to intimidate people. He’s rude and gives smart comments to women. I have years of combat experience in wrestling and MMA I could easily handle this security guard and i don’t think he knows that. He thinks he can intimidate people and it’s ok. Stay away from this establishment
07/02/2026: I was discriminated against in this pub last week. After having just two pints, I was told by a member of bar staff that I had to leave. I calmly asked if this was the pub’s policy. Instead of explaining or acting professionally, the staff member walked away from the bar and told me to go and help myself behind it.
I was absolutely shocked by the arrogance and disrespect shown to a paying customer. This behaviour was humiliating and completely unacceptable.
This pub is well known for discriminating against Irish Travellers, and sadly my experience only confirms that reputation. I would not recommend this pub to anyone, and I believe people should be aware of how customers are treated here.
Discrimination has no place in society, let alone in a public licensed premises.

16/11/2025: Ordered general tso’s and when I asked if I could order a side order of rice the woman taking my order responded “no”. I asked if the dish already comes with rice and she said yes. It wasn’t until I got home that I found no rice with my dish… 🙄

12/12/2025: Like all places in Carrick starts off well, then quality just goes down hill so quickly. Bought 3 spice bag yesterday, all 3 had stale tasting chicken and chips that tasted like the day before leftover thrown back in the oil and on top of that all 3 bag were so bland had no taste no flavor no seasoning no veg just stale old breaded chicken and chips. DISAPPOINTING. NEVER AGAIN

Id go weekly to chungs and had been really happy.
But last night u went and it's made me not want to go back.
I asked the gentleman about something they made before he said yes no problem a young girl took my order and kept rushing and giving me my total cost and I hadn't even finished my order. Even the lady waiting behind commented
I finally finished ordering and paid but I could understand how the order cost so much. I waited in the car and went to collect my order. I asked if she could check my order was all there and correct as before it had been wrong so now I always check before I leave. She said yes but didn't even check. So I checked myself to find a shot glass amount of curry sauce in a tub when I had ordered a large. I asked the gentleman then please could he check the price and I was 100% over charged.
I had paid with my phone. And I was right €12 over charged. Where he then told me he refund the full amount then take for it again. I told him he cant as I dont gave the amount on that card to pay a second time as refunds take a few days to come back into my bank. He was very rude and almost blaming me for there mistakes. I said cant u just do a €12 refund and shouting no no I cant very pi**y tone of voice. I then told him I dont have the card ull just have to give me it in cash then. Which in the end he did.
I actually felt sorry for the young girl who was obviously getting trained in and had no experience i had reasured her it happens well sort it but the gentleman was very rude to her. The food wasn't great either salt and chilli chips were burnt and the tub of rice was only id say a half portion.
Really disappointed as I had previously enjoyed going to chungs but this has put me off.

27/01/2026: Came here just to get a takeaway, the nice lady who served me was very pleasant helped me chose and spoke to me while I waited and the food was nice too.
07/09/2025: Not great service booked for 8 people showed up ordered food and then came back few minutes later saying didn't have enough staff for the kitchen
