06/10/2025: The Barman at the Tipsy Tailor gave us brilliant service buy taking us a to a quiet section where we could watch a Rugby test. He set the match up on Sky and arranged food and drinks service for us. Thank you very much! 👍👏

11/08/2025: Stopped in with family for a bite to eat. Staff was very friendly, the girl who served us was very warm and welcoming. The food was disappointing. Thr childs goujons and chips came with 2 goujons and a handful of chips. The burger didn't look very appetising and everyone's chips were overdone. The chicken curry was OK. Overall if was overpriced for what we got. The food really let the place down, as otherwise it came across as a nice family friendly spot. Flies were a big issue too.

25/11/2025: If you're looking for amazing Indian food in Carrick-on-Shannon, this place is an absolute must-try. Their butter chicken is hands-down the best I’ve ever had—rich, creamy, and full of flavour. Pair it with their egg fried rice, and you’ve got the perfect combination. It’s honestly become my favourite dish!
The staff are warm and welcoming, the service is great, and the atmosphere is lovely whether you’re dining in or grabbing a takeaway. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough,definitely the top Indian spot in town!
01/11/2025: We regularly get a takeaway from Spice India and are usually happy with the food.
We use the online menu to choose what we get.
The issue I have here is the price on the menu is not the price you pay when you collect your order.
So quite misleading and can amount to quite a lot with a big order.

13/11/2025: Decided to try this place, when it first opened didn't look to promising as there was a bluebottle stuck on one of their cakes so I passed that day.
But I santed to try the dubai brownie which was 6.50 as a treat 😳. Looked great which is why I bought but tasted just okay, topping was how u would imagine but the brownie itself was dry and bland if it had been a bit more fudgier n rich in chocolate flavour could have been a 10/10. Service was to be desired, standing a long time when it really wasn't busy and just got dumped my change without too much friendliness. Came in a good to go box tho. Regardless there selection of cakes and sweet things n sandwiches is impressive of a tad expensive and would like to sit in at some point as the place looks good for a stop off.
Coffee is really good, matcha not so much. Would recommend the éclairs on a second visit since.
12/11/2025: A wonderful selection of delicious treats and drinks! All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (I had a hard time making up my mind - so many great choices)!

Id go weekly to chungs and had been really happy.
But last night u went and it's made me not want to go back.
I asked the gentleman about something they made before he said yes no problem a young girl took my order and kept rushing and giving me my total cost and I hadn't even finished my order. Even the lady waiting behind commented
I finally finished ordering and paid but I could understand how the order cost so much. I waited in the car and went to collect my order. I asked if she could check my order was all there and correct as before it had been wrong so now I always check before I leave. She said yes but didn't even check. So I checked myself to find a shot glass amount of curry sauce in a tub when I had ordered a large. I asked the gentleman then please could he check the price and I was 100% over charged.
I had paid with my phone. And I was right €12 over charged. Where he then told me he refund the full amount then take for it again. I told him he cant as I dont gave the amount on that card to pay a second time as refunds take a few days to come back into my bank. He was very rude and almost blaming me for there mistakes. I said cant u just do a €12 refund and shouting no no I cant very pi**y tone of voice. I then told him I dont have the card ull just have to give me it in cash then. Which in the end he did.
I actually felt sorry for the young girl who was obviously getting trained in and had no experience i had reasured her it happens well sort it but the gentleman was very rude to her. The food wasn't great either salt and chilli chips were burnt and the tub of rice was only id say a half portion.
Really disappointed as I had previously enjoyed going to chungs but this has put me off.
02/10/2025: The nasi goreng was just ok. Didn't have much flavour off it. The house special curry went down well. The interior is lovely. It was very quiet on a Sunday evening. Staff were pleasant.
