Caffe 500 in Carlow

Would recommend it to italian food lovers. Im just not one of them and little to no alternative. So if you enjoy italian food it's the place for you.

It's no longer the place it used to be. At first, the food was quite good. But now the only redeeming feature is the pizza. We were there yesterday, and honestly, if we're talking about the food, it wasn't a great experience. The lasagna tasted of nothing, the fusilli had vodka too.

I've dined here 6 or 7 times now and each time had a different dish. Each time the food has been top class, served in a timely manner and always friendly helpful staff. I've gone in large friend groups, small group, with the kids and each time they have served food as requested. My 10yo daughter loves it here, shes made feel very special when she's a fussy eater. The staff accomodate her request as you would expect yourself and no fuss.

Food is amazing and decent priced. Waitress polite and helpful. Only downside are the tables. Table for 2 is literally 60x60cm and not even possible to put 2 pizza plates in the same time with drinks and everything else. That’s the table for one person.

We have been to Cafe 500 many times, and we have always left happy and satisfied. Both locations are lovely and the staff is very attentive. Saying the food is amazing wouldn’t be enough. Every bite takes you back to a Sunday at grandma’s. Highly recommended. Hands down the best Italian restaurant in Ireland. They really need to open a location in Wexford as well

Great food every single time, minimal wait time and super friendly and efficient servers. Definitely a must try place. Dalis Rose wine is also wonderful and they'll sell the bottle to you.

Best pizza I have had. Lots of different styles of pasta to choose from also. I would recommend trying the wine.

The atmosphere, food, and service were all wonderful; the experience is well worth it, and it's a good idea to make a reservation.
