Campagne in Kilkenny

We don't get to Kilkenny often, but when we do, we like to finish with Sunday lunch at Campagne. Today's lunch was simply spectacular - I think the best ever. Every dish was delightful. Firstly, very attractive on the eye, and secondly, simply delicious. Friendly and helpful staff. Two lovely glasses of wine. A lovely relaxed Sunday lunch. Very Highly Recommended.

had dinner in Campagne back in January and it was super, a real treat, great service from everyone on the floor and fantastic food, top class evening would highly recommend

We had a wonderful dinner at Campange.The food was flavoursome,well presentated with good portions.Good wines are well priced by both glass and carafe.Service is both helpful (I'm coeliac) and attentive.The Early Bird at €50 represents excellent value for this level.Recommended.

This is a fancy Mitchelin star restaurant in Kilkenny with beautifully decorated portions and imaginative ways of cooking the food. The service is attentative and nice. The price is a good value for what you get (it's a 3-course set menu, lunch is more affordable than dinner). We really enjoyed the experience, though personally I felt the atmosphere was "lacking something" - that could have been just because we had a late lunch setting and the place was quite empty.

Delicious food and they have a baby changing table which is very thoughtful. Not all Michelin star restaurants are as baby friendly.

What an enjoyable evening. From the moment we entered the restaurant, everything went ultra smoothly.. Service is impeccable. After an aperitif, pheasant soup with chestnuts was delicious and very savoury. My venison main wasn't perfectly cooked and our bottle of Italian red was a great match. Dessert was an apple Tarte tatin.. I had waited 5 years to visit this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. Company was excellent too.. All in all, a great evening..

Starters for both: foie gras was excellent. Mains: fillet of beef and venison. Probably the best Fillet I have ever had. Partners venison was very good. Dessert: salted caramel parfait x2 and an Irish coffee. The parfait was excesively salted and a let down for the amazing food which had come before it. Presentation was also poor. Irish coffee was perfect. Staff were friendly and attentive, but not overly so.
