Grand place. Hasn't changed since the mid 70s.

We had a fantastic experience in Captain America’s Grafton Street on Friday 18th October. We were on a very tight schedule and we were looked after so well. The food was excellent - hot, fast and delicious! Nikki was our AMAZING server and did everything she possibly could to get us out on time. Thank you so much Nikki….. you really made a huge difference to our day!

A kind of diner in the style of the Hard Rock Café, but the food is clearly different. There was a children's menu. The service was okay and friendly, although I had forgotten the spoon with my spaghetti Bolognese, but that wasn't a problem and you felt a bit left alone as the waiter seemed to have to scurry around everywhere. The food was good, the ambience too. However, this restaurant is on the 1st floor without an elevator, at least we didn't see one.

I had entered this establishment alongside some other companions of mine, and I had gotten a fresh glass of coke from the bar, as the fellow kids say I was like "What's up brother" and had my drink served to me, it was like they knew my importance. I had also gotten the Chicken burger, which was excellent, or you could also say eggscelent (it's because chickens lay eggs)

Hidden place accessible only through a small door in the shopping street, it is only noticeable thanks to the illuminated sign.
Once we climb the stairs and enter the room we find ourselves in front of the classic, slightly "rock" place with lots of memorabilia hanging and good music in the background.
Very good burgers and fried chicken, excellent cooking and taste.
Too bad about the fries, the greasiest things I've ever eaten.
Prices in line with the average expense in Dublin.

Today was my first time in captain americas on grafton Street, I had read a few reviews and thought it would be a nice place to stop for food with a friend. When we arrived we were seated by a really nice young lady, however when we sat we were waiting a good 10 mins before anyone came near us even though there was only ( and I counted) 3 other diners there. There was staff available, there was 4 of them at the bar chatting and showing each other stuff on their phones. Eventually we gave our order. We had the combo sharer platter to start, this was just OK, the potatoes skins were nice, the goujons were really chewy, my friend are 2 or 3 of the mushrooms and the mozzarella sticks were awful, to be honest it all tasted like reheats. For mains I had the club sandwich and it was awful. The chicken was OK, but the toast was overdone, the sandwich was dry and the cheese tasted funny. My friend had the chicken and mushroom pasta, it was really really bland with no seasoning, it tasted like it just had cream and thats it. We left so much food we felt bad and asked to box up the pasta to take away but we actually left it on the table. The only really tasty thing was the garlic butter fries. The waiter who came with our bill was really nice and friendly. The establishment as a whole was a bit run down and shabby. I don't think we would return in fairness.

This was my second time here and on both occasions my meal was poor but the kids meals were grand.
My niece likes the pizzas and desserts, as well as the ambiance and decor and in fairness, it is ok for kids.
The staff are very nice and the service is friendly and efficient however on both visits there they seemed to be out of a lot of things that were on the menu and my meal was poor.
On my first visit, my chicken fajitas were below average. They weren’t very hot, didn’t taste great and the veggies were cut very thick so didn’t cook through. They were out of the dessert I chose.
The reason for the second visit was because a friend’s child wanted to go, having never been.
I tried the loaded potato skins this time (bacon and cheese) and was very disappointed to find huge, layered hunks of soft, undercooked, streaky bacon fat folded into the cheese which disgusted me. If using streaky bacon for this dish, it should be well cooked and chopped much smaller - no one wants a mouthful of soft fat. They were also out of the dessert I chose…again.
I unfortunately won’t be back and can’t recommend the restaurant; but our waiter was very nice!
