Casey's Bar & Restaurant in Kenmare

We ate in the restaurant on three evenings (reservations recommended, at least for non-hotel guests like us). Parking directly in front of the house. Very friendly staff. Fantastic food, the best during our 2 1/2 week tour of Ireland (with many good restaurants visited). Prices correspond to the level (two people, starter/main/dessert, wine, beer, various non-alcoholic drinks approx. 100 euros)

Attended a family event here over the weekend and the Black Sole was superb, maybe the best fish I have ever had. Simply excellent.

It's hard to be specific about Casey's at Brook Lane Hotel in Kenmare. We have had lunch and dinner there - multiple times with always the same result - brilliant. So, I will focus on the last dinner - an anniversary celebration with a party of 9. Everyone was complementary about their meals. The only two that I remember, ordered by a number of the guests, were the Ribs and the Duck. Both outstanding. The Duck has a tangy sauce over the generous slices breast that is indescribably delicious. So good that some of returned the following week to order it again. Casey's is well known to Kenmare locals and the hotel guests. So, it is rarely visited by visitors/tourists to Kenmare. To many of us, this is good thing. But, they are always very busy so the lack of the tourism trade - again, except lodging guests - appears to not be an issue. Casey's is always busy, yet not crowded during the peak summer weeks.

Very good restaurant with careful decoration. The staff is attentive and the dishes are delicious.

We spent one night in Kenmare and decided to try a restaurant that wasn't in the city center. Casey's was great! Beautiful atmosphere! Our server was kind and very good. We had a chicken supreme and my husband had a fish dinner special. All very tasty! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

We ate there 3 evenings on the advice of the owner of our b&b, 3 excellent meals (Hereford steak, sea bass fillet and pork ribs). Calypso Coffee is excellent.

Excellent food and fabulous service from a polite, informed and attentive team.

Food was nice (if you don’t like barbecue sauce ask for no sauce on the chicken wings) the chips/fries are delicious. They brought us the condiments after we asked for them, all of which were unopened. When they brought the food they came very close to dropping it (which they very vaguely apologised for just a simple “oh sorry🙄”.) Only one soap in the girls bathroom with 3 sinks and two holders lighting is dim. It’s fine though i had a good time with my family as well so it was worth it.😃

Chowder plus ribs, everything is great, I recommend it to everyone

Good food and friendly service. The fried chicken sandwich was the best I've ever had. Would recommend.
