Casita Mexicana in Killarney

While it's a far cry from anything you'll find in any "authentic" spot in Mexico or surrounding countries, it IS good food! The flavor profile reminded me more of North African or even Indian food, fused with European presentation and preparation styles, meet the rough idea of Mexican cuisine. It was pretty good all things considered! If only good guacamole was easier to find in Ireland 😭

Food was good, we got beef fajitas and pulled pork burrito. I asked for the hottest level on my burrito, medium on the fajitas. The beef fahitas had excellent beef flavour, the burrito was hot enough to make my eyes water, but not hot enough to break into a sweat, so just right for me. Service was very good.

We were delighted to find Casita Mexicana in Killarney town centre. We adore #mexican food 😘 and the food and drinks at Casita Mexicana were fantastic. I love an original margarita, but my son loves them spicy and they had both. I had fajitas with chicken and veg extra guacamole and it was very tasty. He had 4 tapas: patatas bravas, chilli, vegetables in a tempura style batter with sauces and a pork dish.

I got the recommended duck burrito and was so surprised- it was delicious and not something I would normally order (not something you would get at a usual Mexican restaurant). Service was great and the margaritas were excellent - homemade and not from a mix. Would recommend coming here again.

Surprisingly good for Mexican in Ireland. I got a medium spice level fajitas and they were great! Not the exact same to what you’d get at a Tex-Mex restaurant in the states, but honestly I liked it better! Felt less heavy on the stomach. Service was great too!
