Great food and service always good

Our dining experience was made truly exceptional thanks to our server, Nick. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with a warm smile and a friendly attitude that instantly made us feel welcome. It was clear right away that he cared about doing his job well and making sure everyone had an enjoyable time. Nick was extremely attentive throughout the entire meal. He took our orders carefully, answered all of our questions with confidence, and gave helpful recommendations when we were unsure what to choose. His knowledge of the menu showed professionalism, and his patience showed genuine kindness. Even when the restaurant became busy, he remained calm and efficient, never making us feel rushed or forgotten. What really stood out about Nick was his positive energy. He checked in on us regularly to make sure everything was okay, and when there was a small delay with one of our dishes, he handled it quickly and politely. His sense of humour and friendly conversation added to the atmosphere and made the experience more personal rather than just another meal out. Overall, Nick turned a normal visit into a memorable one. His excellent customer service, cheerful personality, and dedication to his role made a big difference in how much we enjoyed our time. A great server can define a restaurant experience, and Nick certainly did that for us. He deserves recognition for his hard work and the outstanding service he provided.

Casper & Giumbini’s, Dún Laoghaire. We recently enjoyed a fabulous seafood feast at Casper & Giumbini’s on Dún Laoghaire’s promenade. This modern Irish brasserie was absolutely buzzing when we dined there after a Sunday matinee at the neighbouring Pavilion Theatre. Standout dishes included our appetisers of Sautéed Atlantic Prawns in a flavourful melted chilli butter with soda bread, fresh Dressed Crab with avocado purée and pickled cucumber, and Tuna Tartare with toasted sesame, avocado, teriyaki, and a miso mayo. To follow, the Fisherman’s Pie was piping hot, and crammed with haddock, hake, salmon, clams, mussels and broccoli in a creamy sauce topped with mashed potatoes, and the golden Beer Battered Hake & Chips was served with crushed peas & tartar sauce. Casper & Giumbini’s warm welcome, friendly service, and traditional, comfortable interior elevated our delicious food & drink experience.

Perfect mid to upmarket lunch venue. Excellent and efficient service. Tobasco with the oysters was hugely appreciated. I suspect a South African influence there. Delicious salmon and asparagus. Will definitely be back for dinner.

Very good place, great selection of drinks - tasty non alcoholic cocktails 🍸 Food was delicious: we tried scallops, they were absolutely delicious, 🤤 Followed by chicken and hamburger. The service is AMAZING! 5 🌟 We had to wait to our mains for around 1.5 h, which is quite intense. Nevertheless we were enjoying our lunch and would come again!
