Met friends upstairs here on a Friday night and had a great time. The service was really great and every dish was a hit. Tasteful decor, we'll be back!

First time having dinner here, and it didnt disappoint. We booked a table for 4 and tried a variety of starters and mains. For starters the Prawns and Crabmeat are our top 2 picks while the Black Sole on the bone and Steak were the winners for the main course. The Staff were brilliant as usual and really made it an enjoyable night.

I recently revisited this restaurant after about two years, and I’m pleasantly surprised by how much things have improved under the new management. During my last visit, I remember feeling let down by the service and the uneven quality of the food. This time, however, everything was completely different. The staff were genuinely welcoming and attentive without being intrusive, and the food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell there’s much more care put into every detail now, from the menu choices to the cleanliness of the dining area. Even the atmosphere feels brighter and more inviting. It’s wonderful to see a place turn itself around so completely. I’ll definitely be coming back soon and recommending it to friends.

My husband and I would be a regular to Cavistons but went on New Years Eve before the fireworks, what a great way to end the year. The food was excellent as always, service was great and really lovely atmosphere. Always a delicious treat

We had our work Christmas lunch here and every one of us loved the food! I heard loads of compliments and "best work lunch ever" comments. The service and attention we received was top quality and I reallyiked the interior space too.

Can’t wait to go back with my wife. I made a booking with Cavistons for a group of eight work colleagues, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The staff were exceptional—attentive without being intrusive, friendly, and highly professional. They managed our large group with ease, ensuring everyone felt looked after throughout the evening. The fixed menu for a group offered a fantastic variety of choices across starters and mains, which worked perfectly for our group with mixed tastes. Every dish was well presented, the fish was cooked to perfection and steaks were tender and full of flavour. For the quality of the food and the level of service, the evening was excellent value for money and delivered on every level—superb food, outstanding staff, and great value.

Beautiful food, lots of seafood options, sole was cooked to perfection, crab salad to start was delicious, roast potatoes for table were mouth watering if a little sparse, but there was no issue or charge when we asked for more.
