Ordered a few times. Usually good food, but customer service is really bad and food taken an unusual long time. Took almost 2 hours or more just to deliver food. Called the restaurant and wasn’t handled well. Timing and customer service needs to be improved.

McCambridge's

18/03/2025: McCambridge's is a reasonable did store in the middle of Galway. This is not a specialty food purveyor but had many of the National brands as well as those from Britain. Looks like a solid but not spectacular cheese counter, prepared foods as well as some tinned and packaged foods. Good of you need a beverage, sandwich, tea, etc and are not looking for a local specialty.
16/03/2025: I only tried the delicatessen, lots of lovely products, mostly Irish. Nice choice of inferno hot sauces, "bakery" section with excellent scones

The House Hotel

10/03/2025: This hotel is is an excellent location. The lobby was nice. parking was at a garage two blocks away. Parking to drop off luggage was difficult at best. Our room was small with dirty carpet. The bed had no mattress pad, only a flat sheet over the bare mattress. Our room had no USB ports. The staff in the hotel were very nice. The buffet breakfast in the morning was good.
23/01/2025: Couldn't say enough great things about our stay at the House Hotel. The location is great, just a couple blocks walk to the "long walk" and high street with the various bars and music, but away from the noise and crowds that come with them. Our room was well lit with big windows, and had many USB port outlets built into the wall, making it easy to keep our devices charged without the need for a power adapter. We also really liked that the room had a bathtub with a "rainfall" showerhead. The staff were all wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. My wife caught a cold while we were traveling, and everyone was wonderful about keeping us supplied with tea and etc. Jenny in particular was great, I really appreciated her giving great suggestions on places to eat and catch live music, and even helped me find a drug store to get my wife cold medicine. Breakfast each morning was great, very filling with many delicious options, perfect for getting us started on long days on walking, touristing, and exploring Galway. We hope to come back to Galway and the House Hotel soon!
