Chestnut in Ballydehob

A fabulous dining experience at restaurant Chestnut. We had the four course set taster menu with wine pairing. From the warm greeting and service from Elaine and team to the DELICIOUS food prepared by Rob and the kitchen team the experience was incredible. Had the most amazing experience at The Chestnut Restaurant. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable of all their produce and dishes. We couldn't fault anything we ate and the wine pairing was fabulous too. Yes! It's not cheap but you know why when you taste the delights they offer.

Phenomenal experience at Chestnut earlier this year. The tasting menu with wine pairing was outstanding, every course a highlight. Understated decor, relaxed atmosphere, and staff who were friendly, knowledgeable, yet never overbearing. Easy 5 stars.

Our meal at Chestnut was unforgettable. The restaurant is located right in the middle of Ballydehob, so we spent some time before dinner checking out a few pubs and shops, which were all great. We opted for the short tasting menu and were initially worried that it wouldn't be enough food, but were sufficiently full at the end. It's hard to pick a favorite dish because everything was so delicious. The attentive service by the staff matched the quality of the food. Highly recommend Chestnut!

A truly special evening. Restaurant Chestnut exceeds our expectations on every visit. A true taste of West Cork created with passion and appreciation for each ingredient. The service is attentive yet not intrusive. A must visit when in the area, it won’t disappoint!
