Clayton Hotel Cork City in Cork

The staff on arrival and departure were very pleasant. The room was clean and spacious. However despite requesting and being assured a quiet room we were only 2 doors away from the lift with very noisy guests chatting by the lift at 2.30. We could also hear the music in the lobby below. The location and carpark were very convenient.

My wife and I booked one night. We were very pleased with the room and general amenity area of the hotel. All the public areas were very clean and impressive. The room was very nice, spacious and well laid out with everything you could look for in a room. We had dinner in the bar on the evening of our arrival. It was really excellent and good value and waiting staff were very attentive and pleasant. The breakfast in the morning was very good with plenty of everything. The one quibble I would have was that the cooked items were not very hot and had gone quiet cool by the time we had finished. Apart from that everything was lovely and if we have to overnight in Cork again we will definitely be booking the hotel.

Clayton Cork City is in the perfect location to everything you need to have a fabulous stay in Cork. Parking is readily available and so is access and proximity to city buses. The hotel staff are always there to ensure you have a very enjoyable stay. It starts the moment you check in to the housekeeping, servers, bar and door staff. Always a friendly and welcoming smile. I always stay at the Clayton Cork City. The beds are so comfortable, food is super with a fabulous menu and breakfast buffet. I just know you will make the Clayton Cork City your go to when visiting for work, leisure and any of the amazing festivals in Cork.

Victor and Aishling on the desk today were incredibly helpful in getting me a last minute taxi to the airport. I didn’t even stay at the hotel but the level of service they provided me made me wish I had

We’ve been staying at the Clayton Hotel for 12 nights, and Emma has truly gone above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. From the very beginning, she’s been incredibly kind, attentive, and proactive — always one step ahead of what we needed. There were times we were in a rush, and she personally took care of our lunch orders to make sure everything was ready on time. She even went out of her way to bring our laundry upstairs to our room — something she absolutely didn’t have to do, but did anyway out of pure thoughtfulness. It’s rare to come across someone so genuine and dedicated to making guests feel comfortable and cared for. Emma’s warmth and professionalism have really made this stay special. She’s an absolute credit to the hotel, and we can’t thank her enough!

Great location and walkable to City Centre. Bus station close. We had a king room with a view of the river and it was very nice. Highly recommend. Staff at front desk were helpful and attentive at breakfast. The bar staff were inattentive. You had to ask to order and get your bill. They did not check back on you. I would recommend this location.

Hotel looked tired and in need of a refresh. Bucket in the foyer tomcollect a dripping leak from a bulging ceiling. Breakfast ( charged full proces for adults and children) was frozen cold and inedible. Rooms very hot, thermostat (operated in Fahrenheit?) Had temp in mid to high 20c Windows couldn't be opened . Noise levels not satisfactory, should not be able to hear the next rooms phone alarm in the morning. Area around the hotel dod not feel safe after dark, albeit not the hotels fault. Better hotels in Cork for the same spend.
