Clayton Hotel Galway in Galway

Really nice hotel. The staff was nice and food was good.

Great spot in Galway. Close enough to drive into town comfortably. Rooms were clean and comfortable! Would recommend

Big expectations but I was dissapointed. I suppose for the money we paid, it was ok, Bed only. Decor is dated, furniture and all show signs of wear and tear. It took us a while to figure out how to work the AC, the room was way too cold. The bed was small, could do with king-size. The shower was disaster, no hot water for shower before bed, in the morning it took ages to get hot water running. There was noise from the traffic outside all night, not hotel's fault though. Staff was excellent, friendly and helpful.

Just outside the city. Bus stop outside the main entrance. Pharmacy and Dunnes stores 5 minute walk plenty of parking. Pool is small but perfect. Food in the upstairs restaurant is very very good. Bar food also good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free car park also. Two electric vehicle charge points in the underground parking. Kids club during the mid term would of been very good. Nothing for children other than the pool.

Thank you Clayton hotel in Galway for amazing time at this hotel..I recommend this a beautiful hotel for to stay...All hotel team was very kind ready to help any time all you needed . All services was a very good ,staff of dining bar doing perfect services,breakfast restaurant and lobby bar too,reception and accommodation team was great . Food was really fresh,amazing taste and have a good opportunity to make a choice . Room was clean ,warm and for the bed mattress we have all the best words, feels like a sleep on the clouds. Swimming pool ,sauna ,music in all hotel was very relaxing and guy who working at leisure area so kind and keeping everything clean there. Thank you to all team we will comeback again🙂

Nice hotel. Have stayed here before but it has changed a lot. Staff were very nice and friendly but the kitchen closed at 9 and we we’re siting for a seat in the bar for quite a while so by the time we got dinner finished we couldn’t get dessert as kitchen was closed. Bar also closed at 11pm…. Legal closing time is 11.30pm. We wanted to get food next day before we left at 2pm after trade show was finished and bar was closed ???? Only place to get food was cafe and that was way too slow. The hotel is a big hotel, I’m just very surprised that the services available were very poor.

Great hotel, the only minus is the location.

We usually stay here for work when we have to go to Galway. We really like this hotel and the restaurant has fab food. However I am just leaving 4 stars because the gym is an absolute joke. You can tell it is the least part they take care about. Machines all dirty and rusty they cannot be used, the space is so small you can smell sweat, and mold. The pedal straps on the 1 bike are broken and the rowing machine is so rusty it's impossible to use. Floor is dirty and again, space is really small it's awkward if there are more than 3 people around.

Consistent quality of service anytime I’ve been here. Rooms are comfortable and food is good. Particularly great meals in the restaurant upstairs and the staff are so hospitable, friendly, interested and professional. When we experienced an issue they went to great lengths to ensure things were put right and that meant an awful lot. Things can always go wrong but it’s then that you see real customer service and we were very impressed. They turned a minor negative experience into a very positive one and I’ll definitely go back as a result.
