Clayton Hotel Galway in Galway

We enjoyed our stay, great location, rooms good and friendly/ helpful staff.Pool availability was not great and room noise from road a little loud. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Top notch hotel. Clean. Organised. Room had shampoo, shower gel, handsoap & lots of towels, tea, coffee, biscuits & water all included. Breakfast was exceptional, SO much choice & everything was fresh & delicious. Entertainment on Friday & Saturday night. Bus stop outside & 15mins into Galway city. Hotel had pool & sauna. Had a fantastic break away. Will definitely be back.

I love staying in Clayton Chain as a hotel is luxury and in good location. Staff is friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and the rooms are very clean.

Service from the desk, as well as in the restaurant was excellent! Orla served us a lovely dinner and was very sweet !

Too far from activities without a vehicle

We had our wedding in the Clayton on the 22nd of June and I cannot recommend them enough! It was an absolutely magical day thanks to all the staff who went above and beyond from the day we booked the venue. Everyone was so accommodating! Nothing was too much to ask for, we didn't feel an ounce of stress the entire day. Eduarda & The Wedding Team were there the entire time to ensure we were happy with everything ❤️

Good location, Bus Stop just outside, bus every 20 minutes to Eyre Square. We had an executive suite as only one available so it was fancy but a little shabby. Also while the bed linen was clean there were bed cushions and a throw which I am almost 100% sure get rolled over from guest to guest and this horrifies me. I did not see supplies of fresh throws and cushions in the corridors next to the supplies of fresh sheets. The bathroom was exquisite. We did not eat at the hotel as decided to get food on the go including our breakfast. We paid €440 for 2 nights (BED ONLY) which is a bit steep, we wanted a leisure centre but it was just a pool, Sauna and steam room, nothing fancy so we only spent half an hour there. Would have been nice to have a relaxation area too. My beef with most hotels these days is the late check in (4pm) and early check out (11am) so if you book for a night at €220 its for 19 hours, half of which you are asleep. 2pm to 12 noon sounds a lot more reasonable, although you could pay extra for late check out.

Really comfortable and clean . Need a taxi or car to get to city centre.

The overall stay was ok, the family room was spacious enough. The rooms were not up to standard - it had a smell, bathroom and fridge was not clean. The buffet was fine however not accommodating enough for people who do not eat pork. In addition the crockery was dirty and people expected to eat from it. This was not value for money and was really expensive for the price paid. I will not stay at the hotel again - possible upgrade needed.

Lovely hotel, room was big and decor was lovely. Plenty of toiletries and towels. Staff were happy to help with ordering taxi for us. Didn't eat in hotel so can't comment on food.
