Cliff House Hotel in Ardmore

An excellent place for rest and relaxation. Top-notch views, quality of service, and of course - the food! The suites were furnished to a high level and the staff were nothing but accommodating and attentive. Will definitely be visiting here again if the chance arises… thank you so much for an unforgettable stay!

When you are able to obtain a room at the sea side you have a splendid view of the bay during day and night time

Dropped in here for dinner in the bar here on a Thursday night. We had booked a table and it is necessary especially during the summer months as it is quite popular. The menu usually has a mixture of steak and fish but changes regularly and it is very reasonably priced. They have quite a selection of wines beers and also do a range of craft beers too. It was a dark evening so we did'nt get to enjoy the fabulous view normally afforded to those sitting at the windows. Definitely worth a visit on a sunny afternoon for a few cocktails on the balcony before retiring indoors for your evening meal. Go on get down there and try it yourself. So we came back again in 2023 and for us it was as good as previous years but there is no options available if you dont like whats on the menu. Our daughter tried to order something that was on the lunch menu but was it not available in the evening 18.30pm. Even the kids menu is very restricted.

Wow what an amazing place to eat and such fabulous staff couldn't do enough for us today so friendly and so well trained. We had the most amazing experiences for lunch at this magnificent hotel. Food absolutely fantastic. Cocktails to die for. Can't wait to get back again soon.

Wonderful stay at the Cliff house. Facilities are incredible, staff are helpful and the surroundings are beautiful. We met Tom at reception who was exceptionally friendly and we received a complimentary upgrade. We will definitely be back!

We only stopped off for coffee. The bar area was quiet the day we called in mid July. Service was slow. The coffee was nice enough but the mini cakes and cookies served with it were a disappointment for a Michelin starred restaurant. The small raspberry bun was dry and lacked flavour. Great views from the terrace though!

Booked a last minute break here to celebrate engagement. Lovely touch - prosecco left in bedroom which was really kind. Overall, for a 5 star hotel I would say it needs some TLC, carpets are very worn on stairs and rather dated. Food was ok, wouldn't say amazing. We stayed a Tuesday night so our options were limited. In terms of what you are paying - the food portions are tiny. Mains do not include a side and this is another €6 ontop of a 25-30€ main. But I guess that is what comes with 5* hotels. However, €12 for a bowl of soup is abit crazy. A nice treat, but you could get a much nicer hotel for the price you pay. You are paying for location.

Wow wow wow. This is my favourite Irish hotel to date. All food was incredible. Staff bent over backwards to make sure you had everything you needed. The residents in Ardmore all greeted us with big smiles. Stunning views and beautiful walks. We will definitely return to the Cliff House. Thank you so much

Visited on beautiful sunny day for lunch , location excellent with excellent views over beach and headland. Staff extremely attentive and friendly, food was not to standard I was expecting for price charged. I had bacon chop served with half gem lettuce at 30 euro, Potatoes 6.50 extra. I would return for view's.
