Cliff House Hotel in Ardmore

I had a gorgeous morning at the spa in the cliff last weekend with my best friend. The staff at the spa were so friendly, warm and welcoming. It was my first time using the outside baths, the overall experience was just amazing. Will most definitely be back. Thanks to the girls for taking such good care of us 😊

Had a gorgeous three night stay in the cliff house. Couldn't fault the room, obviously the view was stunning and we had a balcony to sit out on. We had dinner to in the bar restaurant the first night, ordering crab claws, oysters, cod and lobster. All amazing but you definitely pay for it which we didn't mind as it was a special occasion. On the third night we went to the Michelin star restaurant. Some dishes better than others, service was brilliant, good to try once but wouldn't go back. Service for drinks on the terrace very slow but with the stunning view we didn't mind too much. Lunch menu very disappointing, not a whole lot of choice, not even a simple salad on it. I ordered the burrata and was just OK with a sickly sweet dressing on it. Lots to do, we didn't go in the car at all with the beach, cliff walk and spa right there. The best part I think was the rock pool you could access through the spa at high tide. Will definitely be back but will eat more in the village.

What a superb location for a hotel! Catered to our every need. Would highly recommend the spa also.

Its nice ok I had a voucher as a present would no pay the price they were looking for you ar basically paying for the view which is spectacular

Came upon this hotel during the May bank holiday.We just wanted to go somewhere nice for lunch while in Waterford.The hotel looks beautiful,stunning setting and amazing sea views.We were seated inside as it was a bit cooler outside being near the sea and it was breezy. The food was pricey,my husband ordered a glass off sauvignaun blanc wine and it cost €15 rather expensivefor a glass of wine!.We ordered our food,it was lovely but my husband ordered the fish pie and fish & chips came out.When my husband said he didn't order this,the waitress did apologise but said there would be a 20 minute wait if he wanted what he had ordered as the order dockets must have gotten mixed up and we already were waiting 20 mins for the food to arrive anyway which was fine but to wait another 20 mins and for what you ordered was a bit to much so he accepted the fish and chips.For the duration of our stay not one member of staff approached to ask was everything OK did we need anything else,nothing.When we finished our plates were still just left infront of us while we waited and hoped to order dessert.It was busy but not so much they didn't have staff,there appeared to be a sufficient number of staff but we observed people sitting down to tables uncleaned from the previous guests for quiet some time before staff approached to clean them,especially the outdoor sittings,it appeared staff couldn't tell if the plates very from current guests or the previous guests.After waiting about 15 mins after our meal waiting for someone to come to our table we got up to pay as it was clear although staff were walking by and could clearly see the empty plates on our table nobody came to take them or ask did we want dessert or tea or coffee,nothing.In a 5 star hotel these are basics that a customer expects,but unfortunately was not available in this hotel.Even the guy who sat us at our seat and whom we paid made no comment as to was everything OK,nothing just payment,and thank you.It was very much a get them in,get them out and that's the 5 star service we received!l gave the 3 stars for the beautiful views and visually the view in the lobby of the sea was stunning.
