Ardemore is a lovely village- great views at hotel and dinner was wonderful

Came upon this hotel during the May bank holiday.We just wanted to go somewhere nice for lunch while in Waterford.The hotel looks beautiful,stunning setting and amazing sea views.We were seated inside as it was a bit cooler outside being near the sea and it was breezy. The food was pricey,my husband ordered a glass off sauvignaun blanc wine and it cost €15 rather expensivefor a glass of wine!.We ordered our food,it was lovely but my husband ordered the fish pie and fish & chips came out.When my husband said he didn't order this,the waitress did apologise but said there would be a 20 minute wait if he wanted what he had ordered as the order dockets must have gotten mixed up and we already were waiting 20 mins for the food to arrive anyway which was fine but to wait another 20 mins and for what you ordered was a bit to much so he accepted the fish and chips.For the duration of our stay not one member of staff approached to ask was everything OK did we need anything else,nothing.When we finished our plates were still just left infront of us while we waited and hoped to order dessert.It was busy but not so much they didn't have staff,there appeared to be a sufficient number of staff but we observed people sitting down to tables uncleaned from the previous guests for quiet some time before staff approached to clean them,especially the outdoor sittings,it appeared staff couldn't tell if the plates very from current guests or the previous guests.After waiting about 15 mins after our meal waiting for someone to come to our table we got up to pay as it was clear although staff were walking by and could clearly see the empty plates on our table nobody came to take them or ask did we want dessert or tea or coffee,nothing.In a 5 star hotel these are basics that a customer expects,but unfortunately was not available in this hotel.Even the guy who sat us at our seat and whom we paid made no comment as to was everything OK,nothing just payment,and thank you.It was very much a get them in,get them out and that's the 5 star service we received!l gave the 3 stars for the beautiful views and visually the view in the lobby of the sea was stunning.

Blessed with sunshine this was a trip to 🌟✨💫 in the memory bank. Views to die for , food that left your taste buds tingling & luxury , comfort & good service. Heaven 🥰

Incredible views. Food in the restaurant was good and staff were friendly. However don’t expect much luxury, does not feel like a 5 star hotel at all. Very dated with mismatched furnishings and in general lacks any attention to detail. Breakfast was limited. Very expensive price per night for what you get in return

This is quite the place to visit and stay. This hotel was beautiful and the staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Definitely a 5-star hotel - without being over the top. The hotel was clean and comfortable and upon arrival, you immediately feel relaxed. It was seamless - from arriving at the hotel, to check in - being brought down to our room. We were in one of the Terrace Suites and it did not disappoint! We were wowed upon check in - 2 balconies and a living space and small details in the room that showed the attention to detail in the design (example - lantern provided to walk around at night or to light up your balcony). Everywhere you went, there was a view of the water. The pool and spa were great - highly recommend one of the outdoor baths! Our only complaint was that the food service staff was sub-par. We have dietary restrictions and the food service staff (we only dined at the Bar restaurant) did not seem to be trained to note this. We are allergic to eggs and dairy (it was noted when we booked dinner in the bar restaurant, verbally noted to the host and the server). Brown bread and butter were dropped off at our table (server said there was "probably" dairy in the brown bread). When I asked if dairy could be removed from some of the menu items, she did ask the chef and the kitchen could accommodate certain dishes. However, when dessert came, she handed us the menu and again seemed to forget that we had allergies to eggs and dairy (all desserts had dairy and/or eggs in them). She did ask the kitchen to see if they could had anything dairy and egg free after we reminded her. For a 5 star hotel, I would assume that the service standard flowed through to the bar restaurant. It happened again with breakfast (room service). We noted on the form that we had an egg and dairy allergy (no eggs), and both breakfasts' arrived with eggs. When we called to have this corrected, the service staff came to take away the food, but never returned with the corrected breakfast. We didn't call to follow up/complain as we didn't want to make more of a fuss, so we left it. This is the only reason why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. Everything else was beyond perfect.

My wife and booked a 3 night stay January 2025. The location is beautiful and staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious but for a deluxe room, only one easy chair (fabric worn and wadding showing on armrest) and no room for a table. The food options are a limited bar menu or the restaurant. Food quality in the bar was varied. One special per night and on our second night it was the same special, so that's NOT special. Special on night two was poorly cooked, I gave feedback to the waitress who was very understanding but the chef never appeared. This is not 5 star. Breakfast and spa were very nice. Tasting menu and wine pairing were most enjoyable but I have had as good for half the price. My opinion is that this hotel is trading on location and restaurant. Overall I would not rate more than 4 star. I will not be returning and based on their prices would not recommend

Amazing night here! Our room was upgraded which was a lovely touch. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the views were fantastic!

Absolutely amazing place ! Never stayed in the hotel ,but visited few times the restaurant. The view from the terrace is so beautiful ,that brings me here again and again ! The people working there are extremely polite ,from the men at the door to the restaurant staff!
