Cliff House Hotel in Ardmore

The room was perfect, and the pool and massage area were very nice. The staff provided excellent service and were very attentive. However, the food left a lot to be desired — it was quite bland and lacked flavor. It seems like there is more focus on adding exotic elements to the dishes rather than ensuring they actually taste good. Overall, I don’t feel that the food quality matches the price.

Amazing hotel, amazing location, amazing service

Fantastic hotel. We had a room with a balcony. It was winter and we had a view of the waves crashing over the rocks beneath. The room itself was beautiful. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We had a meal in the bar/restaurant. My steak was the best steak I have eaten in a long time. However my wife's chicken wasn't great. Despite that we really enjoyed our stay. It's expensive but worth it.

Stayed for a our Mini Moon in Sept 2025. Beautiful location. The staff on every turn were very attentive detail. The views from restaurant and room were amazing and to have 2 baths on our balcony was something amazing. Spa facilities were top class. Could it be argued that some of the decor / carpets could do with an update? Maybe. But still a very well presented hotel and the food in both restaurants very enjoyable. House restaurant was something different for us in terms of the menu but still a great experience.

Perched on a cliff with great views from the bar area, worth a stop

This place was such a treat on our 10-day trip. We wanted something quiet and relaxing mid-way through, and this place delivers! We enjoyed the most relaxing facial and massage, and topped it off with a hot bath overlooking the ocean. The service was phenomenal, as well as the food. Next time, I would love to come in the summer to enjoy the waterfront swimming hole and the local beach! Ardmore is VERY small and was most places were shut down in October when we went but we still really enjoyed our stay!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Cliff House Hotel, and it was an experience I’ll never forget. From the moment I arrived, the staff were exceptional – warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed, and the views are simply breathtaking. My room was beautifully decorated – cozy, stylish, and incredibly comfortable – a real haven to unwind in. Dinner in the restaurant was the highlight of my stay. The tasting menu was a true culinary journey, with every dish perfectly presented and bursting with flavour. It was, without question, the finest dining experience I’ve ever had. The Cliff House is an extraordinary place – luxurious yet relaxed – and I can’t wait to return.
