This place never fails to deliver, quality food, quality staff, and the rib eye is beautiful, go hungry because you will not be left wanting for more. One down side the wine is pricey, I recommend they do a good house wine special for €20-25. Top!

Such a lovely place, staff were so accommodating and personable! The food was lovely, but the shared side order that came with the mains was not really needed - it didn't really match well with some mains eg a seafood platter. That being said, all of the food was lovely and I'd highly recommend the tiramisu!

Visited with my sister and fiance and I have to say 10/10 no notes at all. I was stuck between two wines they brought a taster of both. I ordered steak rare got it perfectly rare served with mash, baked potatoes, creamed carrots and pickled red cabbage absolutely delicious didn't finish it all. Despite being busy the server was diligent and checked in at all the right intervals I can say expensive as it was the quality and service was UNMATCHED would happily pay the same money again in a heartbeat but would go in hungrier next time so as to try their dessert menu

Interesting set-up. The ground floor is a bar that also serves food. You go upstairs and you're in a completely different fine-dining establishment. Firstly, it's difficult to find bars in Ireland that make cocktails. It has something to do with being licensed as a traditional pub. And then, if they do make cocktails, good luck getting an Old-Fashioned or Margarita. No problem here. Actually, as an aside, I was at a traditional pub who served liquor but not cocktails, so no screwdrivers. I just asked for a double vodka and a small bottle of OJ and I was all set. Great food. I had the 14 oz Delmonico steak, cooked just right. Raw oysters were fine. Onion soup was OK but a little different presentation than we're used to in the States. Nice, cozy atmosphere with a fireplace. Attentive, personable waiter. Nothing not to like. Go there.

We were tired after taking the train from Dublin so stopped in for late lunch. We were blown away by the seafood chowder and fresh bread and excellent service. We had a wonderful time and excellent meals during our 2017 trip to Ireland but the meal that stood out was here. We were grateful for having stopped here.

Stayed in Sligo for 2 nights in Dec 24 and came here to Coach Lane both nights. The first night was just drinks and the second night for dinner. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive and food excellent. Would definitely come back here again if we were in the area.

Hargadons Bros

24/04/2025: Good simple food and good service. I had the fish and chips and the fish was fresh and crispy but the fries were just ok. The sticky toffee pudding was a bit dry and needed more sauce.

Hargadon Bros

08/05/2025: Everyone must visit this pub that sends you back more than 100 years. You are seated in snug booths with high walls so that conversation is encouraged and private. Great food, especially the fish chowder!
06/05/2025: We stayed at Hargadon for two evenings. Great very own authentic pub with good and slightly better pub food. One of Sligo's oldest pubs. Great service. Food was okay. Unfortunately the seafood chauder was a bit tasteless. Otherwise everything was fine. Price wise okay. Guinness was good!
