Copper Alley Bistro in Dublin

Great seafood chowder, great fish and fries, great desserts, very good service and unbeatable prices. Quality with quantity and price measure up: much better than one that was recommended to us for having a quality clover, I think.....the fish looked like Pescanova hake sticks. In this bistro GREAT and a tasty batter, and the fries with a pinch of salt! I hope to return

The first time I ate such a delicious soup with mussels, home made seafood chowder, fish and chips, they were also delicious, the staff is friendly, I will come again)

We are a family of four. We ordered four different items. All weee very good. We recommend this restaurant.

I had the beef stew and a whiskey. The beef stew came out on something resembling a fajita plate, bubbling hot with tender meat, and was pretty tasty on first bite. On further examination though, it was both quite sweet and quite salty, with a certain resemblance to teriyaki, and I was unable to find any vegetables in it (besides the green onion garnish on top). Certainly this could have been achieved by first browning sugars of the listed vegetables and then simmering the stew until the vegetables disintegrated, but I was left with doubts about the authenticity of the dish. The price for the food was fairly high but the portion size was also enormous; I got through maybe half of it before becoming uncomfortably full, and would have been quite happy with half the stew for half the price. The whiskey prices seemed consistent with other drinking establishments in downtown Dublin, and they had an extensive selection of Irish whiskeys to choose from.

Ok, I'll begin with an apology... I didn't intend to appear rude but my frustration was apparent at the time. I do have episodes of frozen anxiety (linked to my A.D.D.) and what happened here did trigger it. I ordered the full Irish breakfast and it came on a wooden handled tray and the breakfast was on a small iron griddle and the add-ons all around it. This was really incongruous to me eating it properly as I could not move anything around on the small griddle to eat it, not to mention me having to arch my arms in to get to it. Anyway, I think some places try too hard to be different and this was certainly the case here. To their credit, they eventually accommodated me. What triggered me though was the fact that there wasn't anyone around at the time for me to ask for a normal plate, having to have to look around seated, for what seemed like ages. I eventually had to get up and walk around to ask for a plate. You'll laugh, I actually really enjoyed the breakfast. I'll know next time to ask for a normal plate at the beginning.

Had lamb shank, fish & fries and 2 half liters for dinner. Beer was great. Lamb was good too! Fish was 80% paneer and 20% fish, too bad. Portions sufficient. Service was friendly and smooth. The appearance of the place is nothing special, but you can enjoy a nice meal there. The music was one of those non-stop female tearjerkers, did not contribute to the atmosphere, they turned it down on request! That was nice.

We spent a day in Dublin and popped into here for lunch as they had several vegan options and a huge variety of Irish beers to choose from. We both went for a vegan burger each and it was so so delicious! It came with chips too, which were just perfectly done. The space has a stained glass theme and has plenty of larger seating layouts, so can imagine that this is a good place to come with larger parties. Although it has a full bar, it seemed much more geared at being a restaurant at lunch time which gave the bistro a relaxed atmosphere. We did have a slight problem with our order and had to send one of our plates back. However, this was handled so swiftly and politely that we have not one bad word to say. The server took away the food quickly, replaced it with a bowl of chips while the new burger was being cooked, and took a beer off the bill. We had a couple of interactions with different servers throughout our lunch and all of them were so caring and polite. Thank you for such a warm welcome to Dublin!

Délicieux! Les plats sont de qualité, servis généreusement (nous n’avons pas réussi à terminer) et avec le sourire. La carte des whisky est impressionnante.Nous avons passé un agréable moment.
