I enjoyed the most extraordinary seafood chowder at this authentic seafood restaurant on a recent tour of Ireland! The chowder had clams, scallops, squid and fish in a lovely cream soup. The fish cakes appetizer was excellent also.

The Corner Stone Bar is distinguished by both its delicious food and its very attentive and efficient staff.
The seafood chowder as a starter, the pan-fried pepper chicken as a main course, and the cheesecake were a dream and the perfect ending to our Ireland trip.

The restaurant looks a bit shabby at first glance, but this wasn't the case at all during the meal. No long waiting times, good service. The price was perfectly reasonable.

Delicious food!
We had smoked salmon, fish and chips, seafood chowder, and fried chicken, all excellent, and the dessert was very good too!

After a long drive this am we decided to stop for lunch in Lahinch. Walking down the street we came across The Cornerstone an decided to eat there. Jennifer waited on us and suggested a special of the day (lamb shank) and it was fantastic! I pride myself on making a great lamb shank and this one outdid it hands down. Additionally, my wife had the fish and chips and it was the best we have had in Ireland to date. I’m you decide to stop hope they have the lamb if not have the fish and chips ( order a half order to start).

My wife and I visited this establishment during our short hiday in Co. Clare recently. Although we have visited Lahinch many times, this was our first time to try the fare on offer here and we were not disappointed! The pub is very tastefully decorated and nicely laid out. We enjoyed a lovely meal (a big bowl of mussels that was delicious, for me and fish cakes for my wife, which she enjoyed). Service was excellent from the friendly and attentive staff and we will definitely return!
