Counihans Bar in Cork

Classic pub in a busy part of town! One of the few bars in the city that hasn't been revamped into a restaurant. A good place to meet and chat!

We had a Guinness while watching a football match and they were super friendly at all times despite having many customers.

Had a great night in there. Little short staffed, but they were doing their best. Very friendly

Nice pub to watch the All Ireland in. Big screen out the back, lots of space. Staff are friendly and efficient. However, I thought €7 for a pint of non-alcoholic Carlsberg was a bit much, the alcoholic pints were cheaper. Note it was also my first time in Cork so I'm not sure if this is standard for a non-alcoholic pint in the city.

Years since had a pint there. Grand comfortable pub where you can enjoy a conversation with friends. A creamy pint of Beamish that was outstanding! The Murphy's was good too!

Called in for a quick pint on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The bartender was friendly and served us quickly. The pub is an old traditional type of pub with wood panelling everywhere which gives a nice atmosphere, although it does make the pub quite dark inside. There appears to be a separate, more modern type of bar upstairs although this didn't appear to be open at the time of my visit. I'd like to go back at a busier time to see what the atmosphere is like then.

The very first bar we went to when we arrived in Cork. What a lovely surprise. A really large bar with a massive screen and other televisions for the football. Excellent service and incredible barstaff. The Guinness was flowing as we watched Man City win the league.
