Beautiful castle and gardens. Nice cafe at the entrance / exit. Reserve at least 2 hours for a quick visit and more to enjoy it properly.
For kids there is a nice playground with a large treehouse.

A Lovely estate but for short visits the charge of 12 euro per person is a bit too much

What was a spontaneous idea for a trip turned out to be a surprising size, absolutely worth seeing facility. The grounds are really extensive, with a lake, waterfalls, countless paths, gardens and the truly impressive telescope. The current art exhibition was a nice goodie. Very friendly staff

Just incredibly wonderful... Sharing the afternoon with children, full of excitement, feeding the swans, signet and ducks on the lake. The great variety of trees. The formal gardens.. The little furtive hedgerows run wild... The air, the scent of flowers and shrubs, the trickle of water, the cool simplicity of St Brendan's Well... The Leviathans, old and new, forging other patterns of the universe. The Castle itself, full of curves and plains and charming windows, catching the light of summer and lazy afternoons, even the little birds are down a few octaves. And all that labour and foresight-the wisdom of mulching the beautiful trees, even the magnificent magnolias with a variety of materials including sods of turf to keep them all alive and moist when it is 24 degrees and not a drop of rain.

Great place with lovely scenery and plenty to see . However, better signage would make a big difference, especially for visitors with disabilities and autism, as there wasn’t much guidance available. Overall, the staff were welcoming and the atmosphere was lively we had a very positive experience!
