Good place if you like to have huge servings of meat, which in return are not cheap. Few other options, among them a great seafood chowder - but as the soup consists mainly of cream, make sure to order it as a starter and not as a main, because otherwise it'll be hard to finish.

Excellent service from all staff and owner, they were all nice polite and very helpful. The food was delicious to the last mouthful and the portions very generous. A pub that is a gastronomical delight.

Brilliant! Treated two close friends to a meal. I had a beautiful steak. My friend did likewise. His wife had chicken Maryland. We all had tasty soup. There was a 60th birthday party and and 18th going on but staff made sure we were not neglected. I'm fussy over steaks. This hit the spot. I wanna go back now!

Popped in on a bank holiday - we were able to get half portions which was great. Turned out to be very big portions too!! Very hot too. My mum is v fussy but she was v impressed with her pasta dish. Excellent staff. Will be back!!

The Copper Still

24/10/2024: Stayed for one night as a stop over on the motorbikes. Lovely bar area with a fantastic outdoor beer garden. Food was outstanding and well priced. Derek greeted us on arrival and asked if we would like to park our motorbikes in the secure back yard. Bar was busy and had live entertainment on the Saturday evening. The rooms were clean and tidy. Would definitely return and recommend.
23/10/2024: The service was excellent from the bar staff, great for watching the football and having a decent pint. The bed and shower were 5/5 stars, but I couldn’t get the radiator to work so it was a little colder than I wanted jumping up for the toilet. Great shower, the lamps did not work well and I wish there was a little more choice for breakfast, like ham and cheese like they have for a continental breakfast.
