Best pub in Cork city. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. An open fire in the back makes it perfect for a winters day.

Nice atmosfeer, very good bar. But only gluten free beer is Peroni. This could be better when I compare to other bars in Cork. Edit: last time, they also served a 9 White Deer Stag gluten free beer. Good addition!

29/03/2025: Was there as part of a work do. 20 plus people so hat tip for accommodating us. Service was fast and responsive. Ordered the black pudding salad starter which was nice but the pudding a little undercooked (not crispy). Acknowledge this might be a personal preference but still. Ordered fish cakes as a main and they were not great. Dry and lacking seasoning. My co workers seemed happy with their mains. It's a good location but wasn't blown away with the food.

Cornstore

23/03/2025: I normally love the Cornstore but recently went there and ordered the Cannelloni, the sauce was very sweet and it was almost like having dessert for main course. Chef needs to review this dish!
23/03/2025: I have eaten here a number of times over the last 2 years, with 3 other family members, & we are usually celebrating a birthday. The food has always been delicious, well presented & the portions are good. The service is excellent, with just the right balance of attentiveness. Almost as soon as we ran out of water or drinks, a server or manager checked to see if we wanted more. Every staff member who we interacted with was friendly, engaging & professional. I would recommend The Cornstore to anyone, especially if you like chateaubriand!!
