Great dinner! I thought it was good. I sometimes like it when there are a few touches of originality and here it’s rather traditional but it’s well cooked.
The atmosphere is nice, the music is discreet so we can hear each other talking. I want to try the cocktails next time.
The only downside was the politeness of the gentleman who welcomed us. The website advertises a dinner menu of 2 or 3 courses available, there is only the tasting menu, we point it out and it is very unpleasant. So we start with the tasting menu but one of the guests doesn't like lamb (at the same time a lot of people don't like lamb...) and doesn't eat fish. We can tell that this is making him drunk. If you do a tasting menu you have to have a little flexibility just in case. In the end he delegated the service to his colleagues and the person who did not eat fish was still served with a fish dish.
We're at +100€ per person, it's a shame to have this service...
Amazing restaurant for a very special occasion.
The prices for the 8 course menu are high, but the food, experience and service were excellent.
Also the wine advice was great, especially the matching French red wine for the Lamb meat.
I would definitely consider visiting again when in Dublin.

Absolute Empfehlung in Dublin!!

We'd heard great things about Delahunt and we're excited to finally try it. Unfortunately our experience was a little disappointing. On the good side, the staff were very welcoming and the kitchen catered really well for dietary needs. However, you go to a restaurant primarily for the food and sadly in this case it was just ok. The quality of produce seemed good but the flavours were underwhelming and the portions were small for the price. In fact the portions were more like what you would get with a tasting menu, rather than the dinner menu that was on offer that night. Dessert was very good though!

Was just alright. Maybe not the best menu or chef was off but for 65 euro we weren’t that impressed, despite its appearance in the Rick Steve’s guidebook. It’s a set menu, which I like but didn’t think the execution was there. Could be a one off and I hit them on a bad night.

This was our second tasting menu we had tried while visiting Ireland and this experience was amazing. The waiter constantly checked on us and went upstairs to reserve us a table in the upstairs speakeasy following dinner. The food here is spectacular with almost perfection when it comes to flavor.

Delicious tasting menu. Try the bite sized apps, all were delicious. My main was the cod which was a flavorful delight. I also tried the beef which was tender and delicious served with a side of short rib that was tender. Desert was terrific as well, the chocolate mousse was delicious.

We had the six-course tasting menu on 7/13 along with classic cocktails. Every part of the meal was exceptional. It was our first dinner in Dublin and it couldn’t have been more delicious. We both agreed that the chilled tomato consommé was out of this world. Highlights were the “snacks” and amuse buche, as well as the duck & steak which were expertly cooked and juicy. Five stars for service. 10/10 recommend!
