The place to go for great New York style pizza in Dublin. A taste of the Big Apple in Ireland.

my friend and i went in and got one slice of cheese and one slice of pepperoni to share along with a garlic dip, the cheese pizza and the garlic dip was amazing ! the pepperoni was nice however it was extremely greasy and i understand that normal with pepperoni but it was really excessive and we had to dab it off with some tissue. other than that everything was great!

I travelled all the way from Seattle to Dublin just for a vegan NY slice !!!! Ok, I didn't actually travel all that way *just* for NY pizza but ... I was pleasantly surprised when I accidentally came across DiFontaine's, just north of the River Liffey. This Brooklyn boy sees "NY style pizza" and well, I stop in my tracks!!! I was just visiting the Dublin area for the first time and hadn't realized how vegan friendly Dublin can be so I didn't expect them to have vegan options. Thankfully, I was mistaken, they had a couple of different types of vegan slices. The pizza was really good. The texture was consistent with thin sliced NY pizza, the slices were a bit larger than your average NY slice, a good "problem" to have :). It feels good in the hands to have that NY slice that you can fold in half (don't cut it with a knife and fork ... don't you dare!!! haha). The cheese had an even melt to it, this in contrast to some places that use vegan cheese shreds which gives an inconsistent look, feel and melt, but no...DiFontaine's was right on point!! Another nice added touch was the vegan mayo dipping sauce available for the crust - oh my, that was delicious! They also have a vegan calzone available but it takes about 15 minutes to make so we didn't have the chance to try. One thing I noticed about Dublin eateries, they tend to close fairly early to what I'm used to, maybe 8pm or 9pm. DiFontaine's is open pretty late every day, later on some days than others. So if you're looking for a late night snack and feeling abandoned by the other local eateries, don't worry ... DiFontaine's has your back :P

It's a nice-sized slice, ordinary-tasting, with average crust. Considering the amount of competition around here in the pizza business, paying €6.50 for average tasting pizza is not necessary.

Right. So there I am, soaked to the bone, the kind of wet that makes your socks feel like cold linguine, trudging through what can only be described as airborne bathwater, when I stumble upon DiFontaine’s Pizzeria — a beacon of hope in an otherwise miserable Monday. It’s not much to look at from the outside — just another doorway in the city’s endless line of “meh” — but inside, it’s a different story. The place hums with that chaotic energy you only get when people are taking pizza seriously. Properly seriously. We're not talking greasy cardboard with cheese here. This is pizza with *purpose*. The staff? Cooler than a penguin in sunglasses. Efficient too — none of that faux-friendly “how’s your day been?” waffle. They know why you’re here. You’re not here to chat. You’re here for redemption in a crust. I grabbed a slice — after a weekend that could’ve been its own cautionary tale — and in that moment, biting into that glorious, molten slab of dough, cheese, and ambition, I felt things. Real things. The kind of joy you can’t fake. The kind of joy you can only find at the bottom of a slice bigger than your face. There are loads of options. Too many? Possibly. But somehow it works. Like strapping a jet engine to a lawnmower and finding out it’s the most fun you’ve ever had. Will I be back? Absolutely. I’ll be back starving, possibly unshaven, definitely dripping from the rain, and entirely ready for another edible hug from DiFontaine’s.

Difontaine's is the original and is better than all the other pizza slice places imho. The vibes are brilliant, the staff are lovely and they were the first place with a vegan option.

Fast food pizza place. There is no real place to eat or sit at the restaurant. Bought 3 slices takeaway which costed ~19€. I find this to be quite expensive. At least the pizza was fresh and tasty.

Wowburger

16/09/2024: Another visit to WOWBurger Parnell St. and again, we were amazed at the relaxing environemnt, how far staff are willing to go to make you feel at home, and the tasty burgers with those heavenly garlic fries. Guys, you wanna visit this place once a week. Prices allow for that and the manager Mustafa, knows his business. Thanks again to the staff at WOWBurger Parnell St. for making our day. I honestly feel younger everytime I visit this place. Iman

Cloud Nine

28/05/2025: Cloud Nine gelato is divine! The flavors are rich and delectable. I chose the Irish Sea salt caramel and I’m still dreaming about it. The decor is darling. I’ll be back before our trip is over.
