Donatello's Restaurant in Maynooth

My husband and I were here yesterday, Sunday. The food was delicious and the service excellent. We'll be back soon!

Lovely night spent in Donatellos last Saturday night. We were a party of 10 and we were made feel so welcome by every staff member, there was an overall inviting, warm, friendly atmosphere, the food was amazing and service was exceptional. We would highly recommend Donatellos.

Bland bland bland. Way overpriced for what you are getting. There's nothing wrong with the food really but when youre paying €24 for a pasta it should be much better. The dessert is a ridiculous price, €10 for a frozen definitely not homemade dessert is insane but I imagine the profit margin is amazing. Unfortunately youd need a search party to find any flavour in them.

I had the carbonara. I wasn’t the biggest fan of it. Felt like something I could make myself at home. My friend had a steak and that was quite good do perhaps I just ordered something I didn’t like. Staff were polite, place was clean.

Pricey for salmon!! So upon review of menu the waitress impressed how amazing the special salmon was and that it ‘might be nearly all gone’ (like the sea-bass that was all gone) so we ordered 2 of the salmon special and a prawns linguine for third person without checking price or details of salmon. (Scarcity in sales a good approach lol) Assumed price would be on par with the rest of the menu and possibly cheaper if a daily special. Two quite small fillets of salmon with 3 v small new potatoes cut in half with rocket garnish and hollandaise? 76 Euro (38 pp). A bit pricey for portion size and lack of vegetables (aside from the new potatoes). Pasta garlic bread, 2 salmon, sparkling water, 2 glasses of wine, one coffee, one dessert €151😮

The best pizza I’ve had in a while.

Very nice restaurant with very good food.

Very tasty food, I had gambas Vulcano and pizza Tarantella. Both weren't very spicy, but spicy enough. Both were very tasty. Complication: the knives are completely dull. If you prefer to eat your pizza with a knife and fork, it's really hard work at Donatello's.

Had a lovely evening here during the week, a fab spot for Italian cuisine, we loved it, will be back again at some point.

Came here on a recommendation by the man at Equestrian World and it is a 10/10 recommendation. Delicious bread! Warm butter!! Server was boss lady in the best way!! Ordered the spaghetti arrabiata (medium) was delicious. Also had bianco and Neapolitan pizzas, both were raved about as well. Can't go wrong when needing something other than traditional Irish.
