I have been eating in Donkey Fords for years. The battered sausages are the best battered sausages in Limerick and for that alone, I will definitely be back. The chips are very nice too but as I said above, the battered sausages are the nicest. Went in at 19:20 and was out 2 minutes later. The ladies on the counter are very friendly and do their job well. I will definitely be back here again

Donkey Ford's is the real thing, an authentic, unpretentious chippie in an inconspicuous little shop that does nothing but fry fish and chips and sausage and serve them wrapped in paper for take-out meals. We thoroughly enjoyed our cod and whiting with chips, though it was disappointing to find that the cod was some sort of pressed, pre-fab fish and not the authentic thing. All the people doing the frying and the delightful woman taking our order couldn't have been nicer, too.

No frills chipper. Best tasting chips ever. Great value for money. €7 for 2 battered sausages, chips and a can of drink!!

Best fish and chips in the region. should be 5 stars except for people coming on here and give negative reviews, like why don't they expand the menu etc. First of all, you are supposed to review what you eat, not what you think the owners business plan should be.. I would say to those people, stay in your lane or open up your own place and see how well you do?

Authentic fish and chips, not a tourist hotspot. Very tasty. Unfortunately, only to-go, and no option to eat in. Fish and chips + drink for €9.
