Durkin's Bar & Restaurant, Guesthouse & Square 1 Cafe in Ballaghaderreen

We had a really lovely stay at Durkins in one of their family rooms. The rooms were clean and comfy. My sisters and I are vegan and they were so accommodating and kind, both for dinner and breakfast. The stuffed peppers were delicious, with flavours of caramelised onion and a delicious tomato sauce. Sounds basic but was really flavourful. The vegan full Irish was delicious and again the blonde lady couldn't do enough for us, making sure we were looked after well. Thanks again to the lovely staff and chef. We would definitely stay again!

Absolutely fantastic experience with Durkins, who catered our recent christening! From start to finish, the service was top class—professional, friendly, and seamless. The food was nothing short of exceptional. The curry and stew were both absolutely delicious—flavoursome, hearty, and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. Everyone at the event was raving about the food! A special mention has to go to Eileen, who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Her attention to detail and warm manner really stood out and made the day even more special. Highly recommend Durkins for any event—top-notch food and brilliant service! Five stars without a doubt.

Five-Star Dining Experience at Durkins! Had an absolutely amazing meal at Durkins—everything was top-notch, from the food to the service. It felt like a special occasion date night, even though it was just a regular evening out! I had the baked hake, and every ingredient complemented each other perfectly. The sauce was divine and paired beautifully with the fish, while the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Another dish at our table was the carbonara—so incredibly tasty and mouth-watering! The garlic bread alongside it was spot on. The pizza was delicious, with a slight kick of spice, and the chips were just as tasty. Honestly, we couldn’t fault a single thing. The staff were so friendly, accommodating, and served with a smile, which made the experience even better. This place might just be my new go-to for dinner! Looking forward to coming back again soon. Highly recommend!
