Eala Bhan in Sligo

I recently went with my family, the place is beautiful. The food and service were excellent. It is a very good restaurant in the heart of the city. The quality of the food is very good, you will pay a little more than elsewhere, but it will be worth it. The chicken was delicious!!

I ordered the 3-course menu for 44 € and the truth is that I did not get what I expected, the fish cake was very good, the other starter a kind of noodles with meat and a mixture of too strange flavours without grace without magic and without passion (I recommend staying away from these noodles) the main course was good, good flavours, good balance, the pork belly is my recommendation, I realised that I lacked creativity since we ordered two dishes, which on the menu had different names, but when we got to the table it was basically the Same dish With a different protein (lack of creativity) it seems to me. Let's go to dessert, little to say that it was a very rich creamy cheesecake, from crembrulé. Something to highlight is the very good quality of the ingredients, as well as the attention here 10/10. In summary, there are good ingredients, a good atmosphere and quality service, but I did not see the 44 pp (Expensive for what you receive) reflected in this menu, a very, very low point, I repeat the noodles, please, stay away from them

If I could give this restaurant 12 out of 10, I would. The food (all locally sourced) was absolutely delicious and the presentation was gorgeous. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. They have a great selection of whiskey. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and we were fortunate enough to get a table by the window looking out onto the river. Although quite pricey, they serve 5 star food that is definitely value for money, especially the pre-theatre menu (from 17:00-18:20). This was our favourite restaurant in Sligo!

Wow, we were lucky to stumble upon this after recognising the name from Trip Advisor but it was just amazing. From the welcome, the service throughout and the amazing food it was the best way we could have spent our 1 year anniversary. We had the early bird menu that was good value at €45, cocktails were about €14 and a recommended whiskey at €19. The servers were so attentive but not in a helicopter way, so obliging to any request. Compliments to the chef to one of the best meals we have ever had, the pork belly was so tender and the baked Alaska was perfection. We will definitely be back when we are in Sligo again.

Honestly one of the nicest meals out we've had in a while. While expensive (we did have a voucher, and we did have a full three coure meal with wine for two people), we thought that the food itself was fantastic and we would consider going back again..

Was expecting so much more. Had the extremely overpriced pre theatre menu. Have had way better way cheaper.

It’s simple really. Good service, atmosphere and food are the 3 key components of an enjoyable meal and Eala Bhan is one of the best in the country at delivering on all 3. Mari had the Sweet Beef and Chicken Supreme and I had scallops and the fish special of sea bass and cod. Anthony and the team deliver a full dining experience that makes you want to come back. Sin é. No more needs tk be said.

We went here for our anniversary, we wanted a high quality experience and that is exactly what we got, not only was the food special, we were made feel special by the excellent and professional staff there. The decor and ambience of the restaurant added to the experience, we will definitely go there again.
