Edward Harrigan & Sons in Newbridge

I recently dined at **Harrigan’s** with a group of 15 people, and the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. Despite our large party, the staff handled everything smoothly, professionally, and with genuine friendliness. I started with the **mussels**, which were fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The broth was rich and delicious—good enough to finish with a spoon! For my main, I had the **fish and chips**, and it was exactly what you hope for: crispy, golden batter on the outside, tender flaky fish on the inside, and perfectly seasoned chips. Absolutely spot-on comfort food done really well. To finish, I had the **brownie**, and it was the perfect end to the meal—warm, rich, and indulgent without being too heavy. What really impressed me was that the restaurant served all **14 others in our group** just as efficiently, with everyone’s meals arriving together, hot and well-presented. It’s rare to see such seamless service with a group that size. Overall, Harrigan’s delivered excellent food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended, whether you’re dining solo or with a big group!

Edited review. Previously gave one star 5 years ago. Been back twice the last year. Steak not cooked the way we asked first time but they took it back and re-done. Staff really looked after us for the whole night. Great service and food. So came back again and everything was fantastic. Service food and drinks. 👍

Very nice atmosphere and Guinness. Food is decent too worth a visit. Am yet to try the steak. Fish and chips is very nice. Braised beef is very nice too. Chicken is supreme is good also. Staff friendly and helpful. Helpful also if gluten free. EDIT - I recommend the steak.

We had gone here for our anniversary meal and when we arrived we were warmly greeted with a happy anniversary from the staff. All the staff had made sure that we a night to remember. The food was just amazing. Thank you to Harrigans for one of the best days we have had in a long time

Went for a more intimate meal at Harrigans. Food was delicious - the ambience is on point, exactly what we were looking for. I had the ribeye which was cooked to perfection, better half had the special - chicken Kiev on a creamy spinach ( "this is amazing" ). We of course will be back again soon.

Bit dark in there. A little bit more light would have made it cosier

The food was excellent, as was the service. The ambiance is exactly what I would expect from a true Irish restaurant.

Lovely evening spent with my mam, the atmosphere was great and welcoming like always. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection with many options to choose from so anyone will find something for themselves. Great drinks menu and desserts are devine. We will be back for sure!

Food was stunning 5 different meals and all 5 were delicious would highly recommend
