Elbow Lane in Cork

Booked a table here for our last night in Cork. People were not being hyperbolic when they said that this was the best steak in Cork. I had the t-bone and my wife the ribeye. We both had sides, skipped the starter as we wanted to leave room for dessert which was also incredible. My wife had one of their cocktails - On the razz, and I had two of their beers. Cannot wait to go back on my next visit.

Really nice atmosphere and delicious food! Would highly recommend the steak and side of roast broccoli is really good!!

A totally traditional cuisine and led by a fantastic team in the room and in the kitchen by some great chefs, they offer a balanced menu that is respectful of the Irish culture, but without closing itself only to the area, quality products, and embers to make the roast meat. In front of you, they work only the noble parts of the pieces of veal&Cow and with a purity finish when roasting it, unique at least in the area. 100% recommended

Every. Single. Bite. A Revelation. We did not have a reservation, but got lucky to sit at the bar when another booking didn’t show. Our host - May - educated us about the smoking, brew-crafting, and other processes that go into their meats, dishes, and drinks, and was a wonderful, spirited, and brilliant host. We ordered the baby back ribs and the ribeye steak – both the most sumptuous meat we have tasted – both were perfectly seasoned (the ribs slightly sweet and tangy without the sauce being thick or cloying, and the ribeye finished with butter). One of the most surprising dishes for us were the lightly fried cardoons with aioli, and we also loved the burrata starter with hazelnuts, walnuts, and pure magic. The house beers were delightful, perfect accompaniment for the dishes, and Sesame Street cocktails were a delight following the meal. What a great place for a quiet dinner, it's a really nice looking contemporary Irish restaurant. Everything is local, the food is all cooked over open flame which gives great flavor. I had the burrata and some ribs for a main. I loved the sauce on my ribs. The chocolate mousse was really good, too.

The meat is a solid 10/10! I had the lamb, and it was incredibly tender and flavorful—each bite was a delight. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with an open kitchen, which really adds to the experience. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great meal in a cozy setting

My colleague and I had dinner here our first night in Cork. I think the place is called Elbow lane because it's tiny inside and there's barely any elbow room. But it's more quaint than cramped, and the experience is well worth it. We didn't have a reservation, so we took a couple seats at the bar and ordered up a couple of pints. The steaks are the name of the game here and they are cooked over a fire right in the bar. The meat was obviously fresh, and was cooked to perfection. Served up with simple and delicious sides that you order separately. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. We both ordered their own stout, and it was better than the mass produced stuff by far. Highly recommended. We shared a dessert, which was also excellent. I can't recommend this place enough if you're a meat eater. Don't miss it if you're in Cork.

A wonderful find in Cork. A delightful and bustling yet cosy restaurant. We were warmly welcomed by the staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to explain what was on offer. The Ribeye steaks were outstanding and the pepper sauce grating and charred broccoli were the perfect accompaniments. Sadly we had no room for dessert. A great restaurant.
