Ely Wine Bar in Dublin

I saw the summer special for fish and chips and a glass of cava for €26 and decided to try it. The service from when we got there was great. We placed our order and the food was out in under 10 minutes. 2 cods were on the plate but I’d say the star of the dish was the tartar sauce never had anything like it and the fish was super crispy. 10/10 would recommend and the cava pairing worked really well!

We had a large family meal there after a special occasion in there semi private room. The staff, especially Carol, were extremely flexible and made sure the evening was exactly as we wanted it. The food and wine was delicious and the staff were very attentive throughout the night. Would highly recommend.

Great wine selection, also did a good dirty martini. Food was also fantastic, we shared a starter and had a main each. Really good value

Ely Wine Bar is what happens when a wine bar grows up, gets a personality, and learns how to party in three languages. You don’t just drink here — you go on a grape-fueled journey that starts with “just one prosecco” and ends with you passionately discussing your favourite vintage with a stranger in the toilets. The prosecco? Bubbly perfection — like happiness in a glass. The wine list? So extensive it should come with a table of contents and a support group. And the staff? Equal parts sommeliers and therapists. They see you. They feel your energy. They know you need a bold red and a basket of bread before you even sit down. We came in for a glass. We stayed for a bottle. Then another. At one point, we may have adopted a vineyard. I don't remember leaving — I think I was rolled out. Ely isn’t just a wine bar. It’s a lifestyle. A slightly blurry, giggly, grape-scented lifestyle I fully support.

We had our small wedding here and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The staff were absolutely incredible—everything was set up exactly as described, and communication in the lead-up to the day was smooth and stress-free. On the night, the team was so attentive and friendly, making us and our guests feel truly looked after. The food and wine were also delicious!

I held my birthday party in the downstairs section of Ely and it couldn’t have been better. The staff were so attentive and were making sure we were okay. The food was amazing - everyone was so impressed. In the lead up to the party, Carol was so helpful and responding rapidly to any concerns I had. We will be back for sure!
