This is such a beautiful spot. We walked down from the square and glad we passed the other few cafes on the way down. It was busy which is always a good sign. We ordered some breakfast paninis, Tea and a Latte. Portions were enough to satisfy and the taste was divine. Lovely atmosphere with more to the cafe then the front room. Great value for the quality of the food and service. If you're in Birr pop in you won't be disappointed. Had to buy some cake and Gluten free buns before we left. Couldn't resist...

Had really tasty latte and pastries there on friday. Service was very nice from 2 girls but not very nice and welcoming from one girl at the till who took our order- she seemed annoyed when I asked questions about food and drinks for kids, I probably didn't order food fast enough and asked too many questions- that is impression I got.

Really nice spot with quaint atmosphere. Coffee was hot and tasty. Loved the affordable size options. Bread and Butter pudding with custard was delicious. Hope to make a return visit when passing through Birr. Congrats on a well run business.

We had a cup of tea and cake in a lovely place. Gluten free cake options, and lots of choices for tea. Very friendly personnel, we will come back for sure

Courtyard Cafe at Birr Castle

09/12/2024: great place for walk especially during warmer months.
04/12/2024: Plus! Wonderful park. We bought a season ticket and visited all summer. Every time the park and gardens delighted us with something new. You can see the house once. Educational, but a bit expensive. Meeting the owners made the visit to the house more enjoyable. Good tour guides. We were impressed by the girl from Italy. She put her soul into her work and really wanted to help us learn all the interesting things. Highly recommend visiting. There are already plenty of photos online. The main thing is the experience.

The Loft

09/10/2024: Good quality breakfast and great coffee. Nice gift shop too. Would have sat outside in loft area had we known it was there but we were steered into the front part and only realised how large and sprawling it was after finishing our meal.
05/10/2024: Lovely cafe and gift shop. You can eat and also check out their beautiful items on sale, always great food and great service as usual
